hey whats up everyone, last year i became a proud owner of a 2000 protege es. ive been looking for a lip kit and ive had no such luck. it sux because everything i find is for an 01 or up. i know the bodystyle is almost if not exactly the same but im a little nervious about buying something that isnt for a 00. so anyway where can i find a lip kit, and will a kit for an 01 fit on my ride without any major adjustments? thanx

Good luck with the front but the OEM sideskirts and rear lips from the MP3 and MSP will fit your car.

like ForceFed said, you can get sides and rear but nothing for the 99-00 front :(
that isnt completely true. there are a few nice ones my favorite is the one NegatiZE has...

How close do you think that front lip will be to lining up to our front bumper Drackonn?

probably about the same as mine, they had to cut mine in 4 place ... but the integra and civic arent as wide as the accord so it might be easier ...

does anybody know if a protege5 front bumper will fit onto a 99 protege with no major cutting?
Drackonn
12-15-2005, 05:07 PM
it needs major cutting and fiberglassing, the fenders / headlights and grill are completely different.
^^also trublue i see you sent me a msg about my headlights, i didnt buy them, i took them apart and painted the insert with semi gloss black paint
there is a how-to written by ghost somewhere on this board ...

look for the how-to by ghost, you basically bake them in the oven until the glue starts to melt, take them apart, take out the insert, paint it, put the headlight back together and bake it in the oven again to let the glue seal up ...

also note the corners (99-00 models) can not be done. those you have to buy.
ebay and procarparts.com carry blacked out corners for around $25

I have an AutoExe front lip spoiler I purchased from a member on this board. I know Corksport sells it on their website, but not sure how much though. Also, Mazda sells an 00 lip spoiler. You can get it from www. mazdastuff.com or www.mazdaformance.com (http://www.mazdaformance.com) . One of the two websites. Can't remember????

Well, nevermind then. My fault people. The only one readily available is the AutoExe one then. But its kinda pricey though....

www.mazdastuff.com is the link.
IF I get the blacked clear corners will any black semi gloss paint work or do I need high temp stuff. Is it a perfect match with the pcp stuff.
