So I noticed since it's gotten colder that when getting around the 3500 RPM range there's a high pitch noise that comes from the engine bay, it gets louder the higher the RPMs and when I shift it goes away until the RPMs go back up......I have no idea what it is and it's a little upsetting. It sounds kind of cool, but I'd like to know what I should check to see if something's loose.

but seriously get out of the car and push on the throttle body flap thing to find it. maybe a belt?

Go get your alternator checked. I had the same thing and my alternator went out a week later.

seriously, that's what it sounds like.....the first time I heard it I was thinking, "Hey, that was pretty cool sounding"......then I realized it shouldn't sound like that....I couldn't get it to do it when I popped the hood and reved it, but then again it doesn't happen every time I go out...thanks for the suggestions though, keep em coming
