No set screws, no cheap inserts, threads are cut right into the knob for the most solid connection.
Billet aluminum ball polished. Can be given a "spun" finish with some sandpaper and a drill. Knob has a slight nick about 1/16th inch long on one side. This can be sanded out and re-polished easily.
The design of the internal threads usually sets the knob slightly lower on the shift lever on Protege's and 3's. The small "neck" can also be cut off for a more "round ball" look.
I currently have one on my Miata, and no, it's not for sale ;)
$30 shipped, also will entertain trades for a great condition leather Mazda 3 or 6 knob. (wife wants a leather one to match the leather interior so I'm getting rid of this one)
PM me.

I highly recommend the leather p5 knob to go with the leather interior... have one on my kartboy lever and it's an awesome setup

Sedan pro kit. Blah.
This knob should fit on almost all Mazdas. It is 10x1.25 thread pitch.
I read that the MP3 might be the only one that is different but not sure. MSP should be fine.
I have a black shift knob on my P5, I think it might be leather but it looks sort of dorky and high and squarish, so I think the leather 3 knob would look better.

If it is a 10x1.25 threadpitch then it's golden.
I pulled this from the Martel Brothers performance parts website. I highlighted the important info, looks like it'll fit no problem.
