So I think out of all the kits Ive seen I think if I were to get anything Id go OEM and just do the really conservitive Mazda skirts.
Anyone on here do it? Ive found one pic and think it looks great plus it seems like it is a little more rare comapred to the MSP look that Protege owners go for... of course I only really ever see one MSP around here so its not like they are Civics or something!
Anyways, I was happy with my OEM skirts for my Miata and think I might do it with the Protege

I agree, OEM skirts are my favorite. I bought a set off another forum member and had the body shop even them out by cutting out the front lip.

If I remember correctly, the factory side skirts are the same for the MP3, MSP and Pro5. I have a set with the rear skirt sitting at home waiting for paint and install. I have a front lip too (not factory) but will play it cagey until I can do it and get pics up, don't want anyone stealing my thunder!

I have them and bought them for the exact same reason, I wanted something subtle. I had the Wings West skirts/rear on order but I kept getting dicked around, and decided to get the OEM ones instead. If you get the full kit, the lower line flows nicely from front to back.

The mazda lip kit is the right choice if your not looking for sumthing too aggressive but still want to turn some heads. I always loved the way it looked and my pro with have it soon.
Hey guys just out of curiosity, where could I get a whole set of OEM skirts for my 03 LX?

Yep, mine is OEM spec everything. The fog lights even use the stock switch and all of the fasteners came right from Mazda. I have the part #s available on my cardomain page.

Mine isn't exactly custom (as in one-off), it just wasn't made for the sedan. So maybe once I put it on it will become custom!

That front lip looks good. I know it has been asked a million times before, but has anyone checked to see if it will fit the 99-00 bumpers?
hey guys thanks for the help on that photo shop favor.... (notcool)

I even threw on some crazy flames for ya bro!
Ya..you guys are a cool bunch of immature pricks! I can't believe what kind of ass holes this forum is filled with. I made that comment Jokingly. Now I know why most of the people over at mazda3club stay over there! All I asked for is a god damn favor. But it looks like you all are too damn immature to help someone out that happens to be new here.
Nice that everyone feels the need to gang up on people for a simple favor that was asked , and a comment that was made jokingly. I never said anyone owed me anything. All I asked for was a simple favor. Everything I have heard about this forum is true. Its filled with dumbasses who feel the need to flame people for no reason. This is rediculous. I really hope you can all grow up some day!

Shit...I was just stopping by to drop a reply on the OEM skirts and I ran into this garbage. LOL, I love this forum.
I got them and love the hell out of them. I like how you took the bulge out of the front of yours Witchdoktor. Looks good.

Nope, that's the only one that's out as far as I know. I thought of making a custom, but I like the whole JDM thing. But I'm combining JDM and custom by getting the Sport20 headlights, blacked out and molding in projectors w/ HIDs. Hopefully it turns out right the first time b/c the headlights are $700 by themselves and I can't mess up this really expensive project.

When communicating in forums you cant be joking or sarchastic (unless its extremely obvious) without using the smilies. A "j/k" or a smilie at the end of "hey guys thanks for the help on that photo shop favor", would have let us known you were not serious. But by adding the thumbs down smilie it was pretty easy to interpret your post as being negative and whiny because someone didnt bend over and do as you asked.
You do have to admit, your question was pretty silly. When I first saw your post, I interpreted it as a joke but then when I saw you were serious I couldnt stop laughing... I mean c'mon the car in the pic is silver and you want to see what your white car would look like?! I'd understand if your car was black or dark green... but your car is so close in color to the one in the pic!
By the way, if you get photoshop one day and want to do mess with cars, use this tutorial site to learn
www.digimods.co.uk (the photshop bible is sweeeet)
BTW: I dont have photoshop, just have had this link bookmarked for a while hoping that Id come accross the software one of these days for real cheap (thumb)

Look guys I know those PMs were totallyt out of line and I would like to be a man about it and apologize... I am sorry, but when I feel like I am being personally attacked like that I get pretty pissed. I didn't think that the question was that rediculous. The responses you guys made were kinda harsh. Once again, witchdoktor im sorry, gksspot im sorry. I hope you guys accept my apologies and there are no hard feelings. I guess my sig holds more truth than I thought! :)

no worries mate. good display of character to post an apology like that.
I'd suggest making a new thread and asking for a photoshop request with the pic and how you want it done. I made a thread a while back doing so and got 3 people to take the time to do so. Tell them you'll reward them with rep, might do the trick :)

if I knew for sure it was a good fit I'd be all over it
they do look similar to the sport20 lip
ehh...it really isn't that big of a deal now...but thanks for the suggestion.

The design is the same, but the dimensions are totally different. Keep in mind the Sport20 bumper is shorter(no rebar) and more round. The DG lip sticks out further and the P5/MSP has that huge lower grill which will create a huge gap.
I thought of getting the same lip gksspot has and trimming it to fit. It looks like it'll compliment the bumper more than the Autoexe.

Sorry I got to this too late. BUT! 2nd page was a complete worship on assholes and such. I was about to rip my e-hair out, BUT as soon as I saw that Buck appoligized, my hands slowly merged away from my head.
1. Buck, Im glad that this problem was resolved.
2. I hope none of this shit will happen again
3. Yes this WAS a silly request as some people said already, car in the pic is silver and I dont really see a need for a p-shop.
4. Buck, just because you ask for silly stuff and when someone is telling you its silly, dont jump the gun, because asumption is a mother of ALL fuck-ups. And if you really think that our forums here are filled with bunch of assholes, I really hope that you were joking. I dont tolerate that kind of behavior, and I would not appreciate it if this is going to happen again. Yes, it is very easy to misunderstand people when chatting online, especially when people show off with negative-looking smilies.
Buck. Now, I do recognize the fact that you did appologize and I do appreciate it that you did realize something that most of the people dont, and you had guts to give an apology here, but I really hope that your opinion about these forums will change in a good way.
I have heard several negative opinions about this forum. And of course I am obviously not taking other peoples' words for it when I hear this stuff (if I were I wouldn't be on here). Also, the comments that were made on my behalf ARE NOT the type of person that I am, and also have no place on a forum such as this where the sole purpose is to help one another out, not flame one another, hence the apologies. The "negative" smiley was completely misunderstood. Had I put a smiley, or "j/k" behind it, it would have been interpretted as I had intended. The only thing now that really bothers me is the replies that were made to that single, misunderstood post. I don't believe I was the only one to jump the gun. I grew up in a dominantly hispanic neighborhood and I DO speak spanish and I DO know what "puto" means, and it did offend me! Some of the comments that they made could have been made in a more subtle understanding way... I'm not whining about it, Im not asking for an apology from anyone (although it wouldn't be out of line), I just want people to realize what I was interpretting there comments as as well. With this said, all is well, this WON'T happen again (at least not with me).

On a lighter note. How about this skirt kit!:) I like it. Nice and subtle. I might think about getting one for my 03 LX, although it is kinda spendy for just a little extra strip added to the bumpers. If anyone knows where I can get one cheaper than trussvillemazda.com I would appreciate the input.

Ya I am currently in contact with him about those....
Thanks for the help.
mind you Buck. If indeed you will get OEM side skirts, you will have to drill holes in order to mount them ;) just a friendly reminder.
I think there is a how-to thread either in 3rd gen section, or in how-to section. I know for sure its in one of the threads that I've created as I wanted to know where the hell are the holes for the skirts on the car........and then I found out that I had to drill holes and I put this project onto hold
Ya I believe I read that thread. No biggie. As long as it is straight forward I shouldn't have a problem. Thanks for the heads up!
