The small wheels are just for the winter? Please tell us yes.

1. yes.. wheels are just for winter
2. they were one of 2 17" wheels at Volco (1010tires.com) that would fit over the breaks
3. What's with all the rack-hating? I love the rack.. and it's actually functional.. not for show ;). the entire reason I traded my RX-8 for the MS6 is because I surf in the summer and board in the winter, and the RX-8 didn't like to do either one (crap in the snow, and doesn't take a surfboard too well)..
Aside from that though, I actually do like the wheels better than stock.

Hey, whats the offset on those wheels? I have some 17" Whites that fit my Ford Probe, and the lug pattern is the same (I believe), but don't know about the offset.
Need something to use to mount some winter tires for my new MS6. (cabpatch)

The offest of the probe rims was? Just remember if you get too crazy an offset that sticks out the rear fenders may go bye bye. Nice picts and I know the pain of winter rims on a Hi Po car :(

Man... I WISH I could have gotten 15s on there, would have saved me about $1000. These ARE 17s though guys... (Why would I lie about that?.. Motegi doesn't make this rim smaller than 17" http://www.1010tires.com/wheel.asp?wheelbrand=Motegi&wheelmodel=DPK+%2D+Hyper+Black ).
The offset is 42

damn that's close on the caliper. Guess it must be that rim type that makes it look smaller. (dunno)

it's so close it looks like it touching, but it isn't... no scrapes on the wheel, and I have over 2000kms on these suckers.
But yeah, these are 17s, so you guys can see why I think there is no way you will find a 16" rim that will fit over our breaks. I think if I hit a pot hole hard enough to bend the rim a little, I will end up tearing the calipur right off the car though.

Nice looking car. Since you already covered the wheel issue I'll move onto the rack...Being an outdoor kinda guy, I think it looks fine. Of course adding a wind fairing may clean it up a bit.

heres my imput.... not diggin the wheels so much... thats just me though....
as for the rack.... not bad if its functional.... I surf and snowboard too....i have a 5 door 6 and i can fit 2 snowboards in my car just fine without having the move the front seats up... havent tried my surf board yet.... ohhh the joys of my 5 door!!!! hell i was able to fit a 7 foot LIVE christmas tree along with my son and my boyfriend in my car this year!!!
I don't mind the winter wheels at all. I think they are some of the better looking "winter wheels" I've seen on anyones car.
The rack however just ruins the the sportiness of the car entirely. But hey, my opinion means nothing.

love the car/tint/roofrack... but not feeling the rims... even if they are just for the winter... personally would of saved the extra few bucks you spent on the bling and thrown on some steelies... black car (dirty) + awd + black steelies = pimp... bring on some 19's for the summer though... your car deserves 19's (thumb)

Man I have the same car same color but dude I would have just kept the original wheels before I added those. I understand winter but man I guess I dont like small wheels... Then ya with the rack it kinda takes away from the sport look... But hey good choice on the color of car and the car

I don't get why some people are giving him shit for the roof rack.. he didn't do it to win points at a show...if you can read you will see that he "surfs in the summer and boards in the winter"....what is he supposed to put that crap in his trunk?? no, i guess because he likes to surf and snowboard he shouldnt own an ms6 at all and go by what?....a Honda Element?
I board also, glad to see someone is getting all the use they need out of their ms6! rock on man(guitar)

i snowboard too... and i dont have a rack.. there is a way to fold down the seats u know.. personally id rather fold down my seats then have a piece of metal on my roof that could fly off and if ur not carefull could scratch up the paint on installing and removal

ok so you love your car so much that you'd rather throw a dirty/wet snowboard in the interior of your car? I don't let anything in my car,....I don't even drink in it let alone toss a snowboard in it. I board, I use a snow rack, snow racks are pretty stable...I don't think he's going to be doing any drag racing or auto crossing with his rack on...You can scratch your paint washing your car if you arent careful...
