Title pretty much sums it up.
Looking at having a car purchased tomorrow in California and shipped 3 hours to the south where my wife's parents live and when we go down to Christmas in a couple weeks we will drive it home with us.
Its a 2002 LX with all the options. Was a lease return for the first 3 years of its life. It has 30k miles on it and its a manual tranny! Ive been scouring listing services and calling dealers for a month now and I could not find a 2L manual tranny Protege with power options to save my life. I swear the availability of automatics are 10 to 1!
Besides the whole, "Im buying a car I have not seen or driven in person" Im doing all right. What do you guys think? Im buying it from a legit Mazda dealership and it was a lease return with only 30k miles on it. Am I stupid or should I feel ok? Its been a long last couple days fighting within myself to validate a car purchase that I have not seen.
Any advice?
By the way I have them down to $8300 and they want 150 to deliver it 3 hours away.

Things I love about the car:
1. No spoiler, not a fan of them. ES would have had a spoiler (blarf)
2. 15 inch alloys, think they look better then the really open 16s that the ES has... and they hide my lame drum brakes better since the spokes are thicker - they hide more of whats behind them)
Things I dont like about the car:
1. Drum brakes in the rear
2. Monnroof air deflector thing.
Can I take tha deflector thing off without problems?
