You'd have to tune it. I know our cars are almost apples to oranges, but when my pipe was just a little bit loose, it threw a CEL. Even tuned, I'd think the only gain would be from the weight savings...

Won't provide a performance improvement. . .but the cel can be worked around.

the CEL doesnt bother me since i removed the bulb but i just had the curiosity if it would prvide performance

no performance increase... its closed once the car warms up anyways. its only there for cold start emissions

Removing the EGR valve won't have any positive effects but will have negative effects. The EGR valve sends exhaust gas into the intake manifold to lower combustion chamber temperatures which will reduce exhaust oxides of nitrogen(NOX) and help control detonation(pinging). The valve only operates when the engine is completely warmed-up and opens at steady cruise speeds. Under accelleration or at idle the valve is closed.

Truth, but doesn't it also contribute to composite buildup due to the gases? That is why somany people seafoam, because it gets backed up in the EGR.
