Has anyone tried this:

I have heard some good things about it and I am thinking about buying a can for my car and my friends. I did a search but didn't find anything here about it. DC is getting brutal (200 more cameras will be added by next summer) and from what I've read it is legal to use as it does not affect viewing the plate in natural light at all.

Well, I have answered my own question. It snowed a bit last night and I tried to take a couple of night pics. I was parked next to my neighbor and I used the flash. The numbers on my plate were readable and his plate was completely white. I blacked out my plate in this pic:

So here is proof it works if anybody is considering it. I know I will probably order a can.
