It's a piece of aluminum so it's not like there's anything to break in shipping. Came in an envelope and was basically $8-10.

There are tiny rubber o-rings filling in some grooves on the tip, but they cracked and fell out. No big deal, they don't do anything but "look nice". Reception may suffer slightly with this shorter one. We're near cities so the radio signals are strong anyhow.
It's a little black antenna, what can I say...

No pics. But it literally looks like the photo the seller has.
I believe that's the exact one i bought. He has some that flare out at the bottom and some that have extensions. I got the one i posted, i figured it was the right combination of short and long. ;)
They even have 1" ones somewhere but I thought that would look dumb.

I have one like that only it is 2 1/2 inches I believe. Not from that vendor. Reception same. It is just short enough so that when I have the pads for carrying my surfboard on the oem racks the antenna is about 3/16ths on inch from hitting board when strapped down - very convenient. Also cool for single kayak to ride on same pads without breaking out the kayak racks that attach to oem racks - they make the car look like it has silver antlers. People blow up their brains trying to figure out what they are for if the kayaks aren't in them.

I'm using a honda s2000 antenna. Got it for like 20 bucks at my local honda dealer, reception is perfect and I didnt have to wait for shipping! :) I'll try to take pics later if you'd like..

If the S2000 will fit then a Carolla one will too, so will an Audi, or a VW. Freedom design has a few to choose from.

Actually i think any of the new stubbys on the new hondas will fit.. catch a vw wiht a short and snag it those work too..

I have that exact antenna, and from that vendor too. Works great, looks awesome. The width of the base of the antenna matches up perfectly with that of the mounting base too, unlike what I've heard about the S2000 antenna. The antenna comes with two adaptors so that it can fit all sorts of cars. The antenna and our base have female sockets, and the adaptors are double-ended male.

The only issue I had with the antenna was that it came with two of the same adaptor, and not the one I needed. A quick e-mail and a nicely rapid response later and the adaptors were in the mail. Meanwhile, being impatient I went to a hardware store and bought a set screw that did the job.

Definitely a fine vendor from my experience.

I know that some of you will go out and steal one from a car, but come on, don't advocate that as a way to go get them. Go buy a honda then. When something happens to your ride, like stuff gets jacked from it you'll be pretty pissed. It's $10 man, get a life if you have to steal them.

I don't want some a$$ stealing stuff off my car. If I do see someone messing with my car I will put a hurt on them.

The reception is 3 out of 5, and at that price I'll take it. I dont listen to the radio all that much, and at 10.99 shipped I think it is a great deal. I used paypal beacuse I am not familiar with the site, but if you still want a stubby antenna you should check out that site, they have other type of stubbys as well!!!
