Hey all! I just bought a '03 Protege and am new to the forums. Dam there is alot of great info in here!!! My question is: what is the differance if I have a highflow cat/resonator or just a straight pipe to my silencer? I am looking at a magnaflow catback or I am also considering just taking my car to a muffler shop and having a 2.5in straight pipe installed from downpipe up to my silencer. I would like a deep tone and I don't want it to drone down the freeway. ANY THOUGHTS APREACIATED!!

just get a mazdaspeed axleback and some genie headers they will get rid of drone.. i mena if you can really call it that, it sounds like any other exhaust to me.. and if you want something liud ricey deep.. get rid of second cat, hope you dont have to get emission tested though.. you will get fucked.. if you do then get a h/f cat.
