I wouldn't mind getting pulled over by this. Hopefully the reason is that I outran the others though.
if I saw that in my rear view.....I'd just give up
damn wheels are sexy too.

It's funny because germany doesn't really have too many outruns on the autobahn. Since half of it has a speed limit and there is always traffic. I don't really see the need. The only time I could see someone getting pulled over with this is if they started passing people on the right (big mistake in germany) Otherwise, it's kind of stupid. There are a lot of M5's out there already, and they aren't too slow. Besides that light bar has to serve as a MAJOR hinderence to the aerodynamics of the car, especially at high speed. I think it was just a demonstration vehicle. I'll ask my cousins if they know anything about it.

well i think here in US the highways are the same shit as the autoban so they should get cars like that!!!! im kidding. Here in south florida they have a camaro as a highway patrol and they are really fast as a stock ferrari.

its a 2 seater....where they gonna put anyone they catch? they'd have to wait till a regular cop car gets there.

The 911 is a 4 seater. It has very tiny rear seats.

Hot Pursuit: Introducing the 370-hp Porsche Cop Car
Date Posted 11-17-2005
ESSEN, Germany — One of the world's fastest police cars, a 370-horsepower Porsche 911 Carrera S, was unveiled this week at the auto show here, marking a rare alliance between a Porsche tuner and the German Federal Traffic Ministry.
Sporting a green-and-silver exterior and a light bar on the roof, the Porsche squad car goes from zero to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. The TechArt concept is outfitted with a modified 3.8-liter flat-six engine, 20-inch wheels and tires, a sport suspension, high-performance brakes, and front and rear spoilers.
In a statement, TechArt explained that the concept "supports the new campaign aimed at increasing awareness for safe and legal tuning."
Lamborghini trumps the Porsche cop car with its Gallardo squad car, which was unveiled in 2004. The Lambo Gallardo police car is powered by a 5.0-liter, 500-horsepower V10 engine with a top speed of 190 mph. It goes from zero to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds.
What this means to you: You're unlikely ever to see this Porsche cop car in your rearview mirror, since this is a one-off concept. But it sure is the stuff of nightmares for anyone with a lead foot — and of dreams for anyone who works for a police department anywhere in the world.

As Edmunds says, the Gallardo is faster.
It is just a concept. It's part of Germany's TUNE IT! SAFE! program that aims to educated tuners on illegal and poorly made parts.
There's more info at tune-it-safe.de including stuff in English.
