Ive been looking and i havent been able to find anything about running a unichip totally stock. im mostly concerned with making the car run better and if i can nab a ponies at the same thats all the better. anybody know how the car runs with it and what kind of power we're talking? also, does it make the car idle smoother because i have motor mounts and the vibration gets a tab bit annoying sometimes.

If your totally stock and have no plans for upgrades, not sure if you'll gain a significant amount of hp.......you'll have to hear from someone else. As for your vibration from your mounts......you cant do anything about that, the Unichip isnt going to make it better.

if your running 13psi plus fuel and timing control compared to the stock crap maps @ 6psi im pretty sure he will feel a difference in performance and get better HP #s..

there is no reason for a fuel management system on a stock car with no plans of upgrades at all.. these things are for people who plan on running high boost safely with other mods... to cute the hesitation and what not, if you absolutely had to, i'd get the airflow logistics AFC... it's on a group buy right now and 5 more people are needed so thatwe can ghet em for cheap!

if youplan on staying around or under 10 psi then Airflow AFC is the way to go for the price, for serious power o either standalonr or unichip/mpi

The Unichip was originally designed on a bone-stock car. The more aggressive maps were done around intake and exhaust which isn't a significant amount of upgrading.
If you don't plan on doing anything else to the car the Unichip would still be a great thing to get. More power, better fuel economy, and doing so safely.

agreed. you can get your car tuned after you add a few big mods.

Well you don't need to really. Unless you are changing to some crazy intercooler and bigger turbo you shouldn't need to adjust anything on the Unichip.

i ran Unichip on my basically stock msp when i still had it. all i had were injen cai and a cheapO crush bent catback exhaust. although it was expensive i have no regrets. the car ran great IMO, a lot smoother and better power delivery through the rpms. i also ran the 13psi settings a few times, it pulled nicely as well, plus i felt safe because it was pre-tuned to do so. BUT if you're into tuning then i don't think unichip is good for you.

I'm running the unichip totally stock, and its great. The hesitation disappears, and you can really feel the hp gain. Before unichip, I could barely beat my friends 05 civic si, many times even loosing to it. After the unichip installation, i havent lost against it, wasting him by 1 and half car lenths all the time !! As for the gas mileage it seems to have stayed the same. I would highly recommend the unichip.
