Put on a new rear driver side caliper and bracket, installed speedbleeders on the all the wheels, and flushed the whole brake/clutch system with Ate Racing Super Blue. Seems to be running great and pedals feel awesome as well.

Nice man. Love the sound when you took off from the light. Is that rattling sound just the camera moving in its bracket, or is that your suspension? I'm also guessing from the gages and the whining sound, that it is turbo'd. One more thing... who's camaro?

1-rattling is the camera mount. I just bought it off a member here and have some tweaking to do to it to make it a little more solid and a little quieter. So, no it's not the suspension.

2-Gauges are just there for me to know what's going on with the motor. It is not turbo'd. Those are oil pressure, oil temp, and water temp. Stock gauges are pretty much useless. Only thing the stock water temp gauges is good for is saying, "See that steam coming from under the engine? I think you overheated. I'ma light up now." I have the magnaflow catback and Injen SRI making all the noise.

3-Camaro is my brother in law's. He is staying with my wife and I for 2 months looking for a job down here. He is looking to upgrade that to a Mazda 3 or Pro5.

I'm debating pulling the P5 apart to try to start selling some parts. I'm running low on money with the new move and I've got some bills I need to pay. Parts considered are my full FMIC, some 440cc injectors an old P5 IM with VTCS removed and some other things. I'm just not sure I want the P5 to be down indefinitely.

I love the Magnaflow. Looks good from the outside, not ricey like the fart can exhausts.

I did have an OBX header, but removed it after a trip on the highway. Drone was horrible! But, it was flippen sick in the city! I LOVED THE EXHAUST NOTE!!!

i now have the stock header with the Injen intake and it sounds great! I drive on the highway on my way home from 60-75mph and the drone is very minimal. I've done 2 hour road trip with wife in the car and it's fine.

I'm buying a Wagner shorty header though, which will keep the stock precat in place but allow better flow into it. Should give a tiny gain, but prevent the drone hopefully.

Not that I know of, but I could be wrong. I bought it used off a local member for $180 and just had it installed.

No, the Magnaflow catback does not have a silencer - it's not a cannister style exhaust. As for sound, as you know it's nice and deep. It does drone a little on the highway around 3500 RPM (or at least it did for me). It's loud but not 'arrest-me-loud' and the tip is small and discreet enough to avoid further Police attention.

I've managed to leave it alone for an entire week. As we speak, I'm sitting at work ordering up Yakima clips and crossbars to go with the Qtowers we've got sitting here (my saturday job is babysitting a bicycle shop). Anyone with aftermarket roof racks? I'm also in the market for some stereo stuff and getting this thing lowered ASAP. I've had a bunch of VW's, so I'm tending towards wanting to euro this thing out.

My mod bug hasn't gone credit card yet, wife's car on the other hand, her stereo was all credit card. Ghey.

But, it's paid off now.

As to further mods, I think Espilar/Tokico setup is all that I plan to do to it from here on out, and maybe upgrade the stereo.

I've pretty much come to grips with the fact it's slow without going turbo.

So, suspension and stereo are my last 2 mods on my car. Wife is totally happy with hers now too.

Now, i've just started with an RC hobby. Picked up 2 different trucks this week. Baja desert truck and 4wd twin motor monster truck.

Already ordered some mods for both of em. lol

Yeah, I've only had my P5 for only almost over a month now and I have an AEM intake, MSP mats, tint, yellow foglight bulbs, DG CF grill, Familia badge, Megan catback exhaust (hopefully) on the way, and now the hood. Next I'm lowering it and shooting myself in the head before continuing on.

Well, twas a good weekend for the P5.

On Saturday she got some new tires put on. Kuhmo Ecsta ASTs. Couldnt beat the deal. Only ran me $320 out the door.

Then on Sunday I pulled all the speakers, rewired the hack job somebody did and ran new speaker wire for all 5 doors.

Luckily the person before us didnt cut the stock harnes, there was an aftermarket harnes plugged in.

So I installed the MSP front door speakers and tweeters and our new Kenwood HU. and it sounds awesome! So much better and so nice to have all 4 speakers working.

Now just have to change the oil tonight and next weekend she gets covered in this TW Ice product. lol

and of course, after all this, this mornign she decided to light up her CEL....booo!

try taking off the gas cap, put it back on, make sure it clicks at LEAST 3 times, and re-set the ECU. I think Jeffrey (sp? whiteseattlemp5) had that happen a while back and this fixed it.

yuh, I took it off and re-installed it. just didnt reset the ECu.... I dont feel like re-doing all the damn settings on the new HU, where the hell is the fuse for the ECU so i dont have to pull the battery terminal....lol

these guys told me it was that and i bought a new one. but a few weeks later another CEL showed and they tried to sell me another. told them no thanks cause i just bought one unless the one you sold me was crap!!! just got them to delete the CEL. i am having some major CEL issues though. It will throw one of the following but not at the same time, just at different times after i delete one CEL. either a EVAP leak, or some sort of leak or running too lean, or one of 02 sensors. stuff is annoying as hell!!! anyone else with CEL issues. also how can i get my car not to run so lean with the CAI. will it really damage the engine if i keep running it lean???

Not sure about lean, i've been running rich, even more so now with the MP3 ECU. Got unburnt fuel this last tank, hopefully that stops now that I've gone nearly 2 tanks on it now

For those wondering. I confirmed that pulling the INJ OR FIP fuse under the hood does in fact clear your CEL code. Its a 30 amp fuse on the fuse box under the hood.

took mine to the dealer today to get a 4 wheel alignment to make *sure* that removes that reason my tires wear on the inside. they didn't charge me because the alignment was perfect....so i ran by sears and put a battery in it....
ALL of this so my better half can take it out of town for this weekend and bring it home covered in bugs :rolleyes:

The P5 got a nice Power wash yesterday . I was sittin in the house and these very strong winds came through and blew my Grill off my front porch and gave us some very heavy rain for about 5 minutes then it was bright and sunny right afterwards . So I got the 5 minutes powerwash with a few hours of drying in the sun afterwards and I never even had to go outside to get this job done :)

this is florida man... and because its florida... it will be thunderstorming one area and sunny on the other side... lucky for me... while people were being washed away in town, i was autocrossing and baking in the sun... i cant believe i used my umbrella for sun and rain within 1 hour...got sunburned and drenched within tha same hour

painted calipers blue....changed pads...installed medieval light weight crank pulley
didn't notice too much gain from the pulley...i think it did rev a bit faster from 2k - 3k rpm, not sure if im imagining things or not...but still felt slow at take off due to header i think...it also appeared that the rpm is slightly lower when i was traveling at 100 km/hr
btw...what do i suppose to expect from the lightweight crank pulley anyway??

hmm since the last time I installed new tires, brakes, ss brake lines, painted calipers, 626im, Perrin fuel rail, washed twice, celica clear corner markers, and a few other stuff. Damn mod bug. And I'm waiting on my bc's to be delivered.

I filled her up too much today.

I was in the car jotting down the info for calculating the miles per gallon. I then looked out to see it at 11 gal. I thought.... hmm I didn't think I needed 11, then I look in the mirror to see gas shooting out of the side. Sh!t!!! Quick get out and stop it. Probably spilled around a gallon. Thats like a $5 waste now. At least it was raining hard so you couldn't tell I was a dumb ass. Then it was off to work I went and smelled like gas all night.

You got them at walmart? I looked at all of the local auto parts stores and they didnt have the apc part that is in the how to. I was just going to go to the toyota stealership down the street and see how much they want. If they are at walmart at least I can see before buying.

a buddy of mine paints and details cars and bikes helped me.... just some smoother sand paper to get the original coating off in sime warm water...then he used some concoction he had at the shop hooked it up to the sprayer..sprayed 'em and let them suckers bake in the sun

So it needs to be replaced... but you want it. I'm guessing you want the other one, whose bulb I just replaced.
I think I'm going to try to find something to cover it for now until the bulb pops, then find replacements.

My car smells cancer causing too cause it still smells like gas. :(

I'm going to work on fixing my fog light today. Gonna try to tape it up, and fill the whole with something. Glue or whatever I find that hardens clear. Then sand it down and hopefully it will patch it up.

I got the JDM tails new from corksport since it was my birthday

The headliner was done with the vinyl and fabric spraypaint. Duplicolor I believe. 2 cans were just enough. You might wanna get a third to touch up some spots but mine looks perfect to me.

Took and hour and swapped out the blown front struts for Tokico Blues.
So much nicer to have parts that work.

I plan on taking off my broken fog and front wheels.

I just bought all of the tools needed and have never jacked my car up before.

Are these the proper spots? The manual was no help and I searched and found some info, but few pics.

LOL... Nope those aren't the proper points for the jacks... lower her slowly before you damage your floor board

Theres a little ball looking thing with a hole in the middle in the front behind the bumper close to the center... that's a safe place to jack from the front. from the side you missed it... it right there... you can see it in the last picture right where those two bolts are and a little more to the left... you can tell its a jack point cuz it looks a little indented/damaged. Its the same for the other side.

I tried using the ball thing, but that wouldn't get it high enough to get the wheels off the ground. So where do I jack, and where would the stands go then.

Spot 1 is next to the bolts, on the flat area.
Spot 2 is on the rail like area.
(seems too flimsy on the rail area like that, but what do I know.)

the ball thingy in the front is a good jack point in the front
that is a problem not being able to get the car high enough to put the stand under the correct spot 2... you could possible put some ply board under the jack and a block of wood on top of the jack to get it high enough to put both jack stands under the car
Spot 2 is the correct Jack Point
you can jack there and still have enough room to put the stands
