cleaned my interior in preperation for saturdays meet =)
basically vacummed and steam cleaned the mats
dash and panels got wiped down with murphys oil soap cut with heavily cut with water. maybe about a 1/20th soap to water
then tried out Megs natural shine protectant. which to my surpise was really nice. left a nice natural clean glossy look w/o being greasy, or being grossly shiney like armor all.

Finally got to install my rails/racks! About a year ago my brother removed, well I should say broke them hoping to make the car look better. But what he forgot to do was put those black strips in place of the rails. So, water was getting into the headliner. I finally got the chance to pick these babies up from Crazy D. I personally like the look of them, over the smooth look with the black strips. :) Thanks Crazy D! Now I just need the Moonroof wind deflector. :D

Offset seems too low. Even with 205/40 series tires (which are really small) I would be willing to bet they'd rub. I'd look for something with an offset +45 mm and higher.

Well I "attempted" to tint my sunroof today. Know better when it dries out under the film. The good was I precut it to just the right size. The bad was not using water with sufficient detergent (I think). Some creases from trying to move it without enough lubrication. I used 20%. Guess I'll let it set up and live with it awhile. Can always re-do or have professionally done, perhaps at another tint level. Is pulling it off after it's been on awhile real bad tearing bits off, or just cleaning off the glue?(eek2)

Tell me about it. Up at school out in Blacksburg, VA (ie redneck country) we have all those diesel pickups with the exhaust stacks coming up out of the tailbed. But no, it's me with the import car that gets the ticket for an "illegal" exhaust. Damn good 'ole boys...

I don't have my car yet but my first weekend on base I woke up early on a Sunday morning and decided to go walking around from 7AM-8AM until breakfast opened up at the dining facility. I was looking around at all the buildings trying to find out what times they were opened and their basic layout. I came upon a building that was being renovated and I was looking in at the deconstruction when the police came around and asked me what I was doing.

Yeah he is one of the people I was referring to. If you want to be critical I am closer to a MSP than you are to a P5 so :p. Also, about the j/midpipe that's all the more reason not to use that one. I have this crazy idea to use the GHL FULL downpipe with the ApexR1 catback if I ever happen to fall into a crap -load of money. Oh well, my current exhaust works and I have more important things to be spending money on anyway.

Keep in mind that too much body filler in one spot will crack. Lamp heat may make it worse. It's still probably your best bet for those holes, though.

oh man, you say that but... while I was towing down through FL last week. I got on I-10 east, about a mile passed the "Entering Ocala National Forest" sign, there were 3 deer, eating no more than 3 feet off the interstate. SCARED THE CRAP out of me, because I've seen how unpredictable those things can be. 1/3 of the time they sit still, 1/3 of the time they jump out of the way, and the other 1/3 of the time, they jump right in front of the car. I was doing 75 with a trailer behind me, and I only saw them as the edge of the headlight beams went over that side of the road. I wouldn't have had ANY time to react. I'm more careful in rural GA, because I'm used to there being deer around, but I've never seen them on I-10 in FL.
Same night, maybe 2-3 hours later, I passed a wreck where a car had hit a deer on the right hand side, and spun into the wall, 180*, on the left side of the road. Emergency vehicles were on the scene :(
You'd think those things would be smarter....

shit, you think the deer are bad, you should try dancing on the roads w/ these damn squirrels... I swear they do shit on purpose...
They'll fly into the road, stop, look at you, act like they;re going to cross only to reverse and shoot back the other way causing you to slam on your brakes...

I don't swerve for squirls if there are other cars around. I may brake, but, not slamming em. I'd rather hit a squirl than get hit by the car behind me whose driver is texting, doing her hair, or fiddling with the radio

For something as small as a (georgia) squirrel, I don't even slow down. I'll try to dead-center them so I don't hit them with a tire if I have room, but I'm not swerving / hitting the brakes.

Nothing was funnier tho when my dad and i were outside talking on my driveway and there were a couple squirrels running aroung in the oak tree overhead (at least 20 feet up) when a squirrel falls directly in front of us after falling from the tree....made a nice *thud* noise and he sat there for about 30 seconds thinking about how much that hurt lol

I am really wanting some visors now that the weather is getting warm outHaven't taken any but there is a shot of them actually on a P5 on the weather tech site if you search for products by vehicle then go to the visor page. They fit good, are in the track of the glass instead of taped to the outside of the car. They're subtle, light smoked & don't stick out hardly at all when looking down the side of the car. They allow quite a bit of cracking the window before stuff would be getting in too. No noticeable increase in wind noise on freeway with windows up & much quieter on frwy with window(s) cracked. They put the new manifold on and the "Tick" is now gone as well as a noticable amount of power in the lower RPMS's now
Also, picked up some MSP Racing Harts of GhettoBubba and threw some new rubber on over the weekend.
Swapped the wheels I picked up off WickedProtege onto my wife's car. She's happy now, but, wants me to fix the rusty brakes now. lol
Sorry for the phone camera pics. We'll be washing the cars today and getting some better shots, but, gotta wait to take em "Out on the town" for some shots.
Enjoy and lemme know what ya think!!

Did you research at all before you bought the 10000K kit? The best light output of the kits is that which is closest to natrual light colors, 4000-4500K. The higher you go, the lower the useable light is.
But, to each his own. You're going to get lots of dif. responses to your question.
I can't answer the question as I only use a 4300K kit and a 4000K kit. Havn't seen a 10000k kit in person to comment.

PIAA pwns!!
ANyways, installed an Injen CAI with K&N filter on the end of it. Gonna work it into an SRI cause me no likey how low the filter sits
Also, OBX header should be arriving today.
And, installed my amp and sub over the weekend. 10" sub pwns stock spare tire sub
I already have PIAA 40 series fogs installed, so I will end up putting PIAA bulbs when i convert to yellow.

I am seriously screwing up alot on my words and stuff recently
Lastnight I attempted to install the header. Got everything on the top end loose and free. Working on a freshly parked hot motor, while is very hot, is SUPER easy!! All the bolts that wouldn't budge when it was cold came off like butter.
Dropped below the car and nothing would budge. Not the second 02 sensor or either of the spring bolts. Not move at all. So, I hit it with PB blaster lastnight and just now after iparked it at work. PB blaster steam stinks.
Anyways, gonna be hitting the 02 sensor and spring bolts throughout the day keeping em soaked.
Try again tonight.
And convert the Injen CAI into a SRI while I am at it.

You're lucky it didn't shear off like butter. That's why you never change tires when the wheels are hot, because you stand a very good chance of shearing a stud. Metal gets soft and 'stretchy' when hot, which tends to do bad things on threaded parts.

In addition, never change spark plugs on a hot engine. With aluminum heads, if you pull them out hot and don't immediately replace them, you stand a chance of not only shearing something removing it hot, but also the head can warp a little, just enough to let you not get the plugs back in.

Yea, I used a sharp edge to do that as well. The biggest pain is going to be getting all the crumbs out of inside the crack between the shifter knob area and the rest of the centre console. Any ideas of how I can just completely remove that for cleaning purposes?
This is all still cleaning up after the previous owner, only got to it now because the weather is finally getting nicer.
If anybody knows of good products to shine/clean the vinyl parts from coffee spills/wear please let me know. Also, if you could let me know about how to take apart some of the interior parts for easier cleaning let me know as well (nothing TOO major).

Got my OBX header on. I love PB Blaster!! Everybolt was rusted solid the first time I tried. I soaked the bolts every 2-3 hours the day of the install and it still took some brute force and a breaker bar, but they all popped loose, including the spring bolts. I hate those things now!!
I do have a problem though. I bought a new exhaust gasket and installed it with the header. Problem I have now is it sounds almost like an exhaust leak at the head. It's not all the time though, only when I am over halfway on the throttle. I am gonna pull the header and reinstall the stock gasket to see if that fixes it.
Also, converted the Injen CAI into an SRI so i no longer fear water.
