I'm looking for a decent suspension setup for a fairly cheap price. Can anyone recommend anything?

MP3 Springs by Racing Beat.
I did many track days with just those springs and stock everything else.

Depends upon how much you want to lower your car. I have the Tokico HP kit, with their struts and springs. Lowered the car about an inch. I bought it off eBay for a little over $400 about 8 months ago. Can't say for sure how much that mod improved handling because I installed Mazdaspeed front/rear sway bars at the same time, but the car is awesome now. FYI, since you have a '99 you will have to replace at least the front sway bar end links (maybe the rears too, I forget) when you replace your struts. The earlier cars had different mounting points for the links. Good news is that with aftermarket struts the mounting points are stronger, so you can upgrade your sway bars.

I'm looking to go about 1.5 to 2 inches without suffering ride quality. Is the suspension the same for 99+?

i have tockico blues and tein s-tech springs...the drop would be more with stock struts, but with the tokico's you sit right around a 1.8" drop

Thanks for the help, I got a set of dropzone springs shipped to my door for $89.
Will I need a camber kit after I install these?

$89  Remember that you get what you pay for! Watch out for sagging in the future. If you are looking to sustain ride quality I don't think going with springs that cheap is a good idea.
