Is there a safe way to clean a mbc? I have a joep now for about 30k miles and was wondering if I could clean it. I'm sure there's deposits or what have you on the inside. Also, can the joep fcd go bad? The car is hicupping/bogging worse than it ever had at about 5psi. That's when I suspect the fcd is kicking in.
Thanks!
Dave

I know that theres a small hole on the body of mbc's that needs to be cleared periodically. maybe that will help? use a toothpic or something and make sure its not obstructed. Thats about all i know.

Yea... I've messed with the adjustments. It is working as it should... no fuel cut. But it's causing that bog/hesitation that I can't get rid of. I'm growing impatient.

Try some SEAFOAM in the vacuum port. Gets rid of hesitation and decarbons the engine at the same time. I don't think its necessary to clean an MBC. Check the hose periodically, and adjust it, buts that about it. Ask Joe if it should be cleaned.
