i love them or at least the ones ive had.
ive had a t3/t4 50 trim with a .63 a/r = nice was a little to laggy in the end for me but once the spool was there it was just nuts. capable of doing 450+hp to the wheels. ive seen people do real close to 500hp at like 25 to 28 psi.

now i have a 50 trim with a .48 a/r= this one is the bomb. spool is instant(but of course the tublular manny and 3" downpipe helps) but still spool is instant and capable of putting down 425 to the wheels. with the cost at like half of what of the ball bearing turbos run.

Thats the turbo Im going with. 50 trim. All I need is intercooler piping and the turbo, and my car will be seeing boost. Just got to save up a little more cause the lost of work due to the hurricane here in Fl. I just dont know which brand I should go with.

which brings up a good point...not all t3/t4 50 trims are the same.

they are a kickass turbo charger - where did you get yours?

I just got a garret .48 stage3 turbine with a TO4E 60trim compressor, we will see, I want to change the exhaust housing for a .63. So If anyone has one and willing to have a .48, let me know..

Theres also a pic of both turbine stages, left = spool turbo...i beleive its a stage1; right = stage3.

my buddies civic has a B18 motor plus a nice T3/4 setup. he is only boosting 10psi on it since he still hasnt built his motor, but it spools reasonably well and smokes me running my T25@12-10psi everytime.

Well...I think thats what I need. After all, the engine will be built, and installed on a light 323 box, so the stock n/a torque that it has before the boost comes in will be good enough....

For street daily use it could be a bit of pain, will be a fast car, but not quick.

What kind of changes did u have to make to get it to fit. Did u just buy the turbo from AGP or what?

How much you paid for that turbo and shipping?

to get the turbo nothing, the manifold sat it in a place that was not in anythings way. though the manifold was a bitch for me. had to modify some to get it to fit properly. i want to take pics first and then tell you all.

how would a t3/t4 .48a/r 50 trim differ from a t3 .48a/r 50 trim?

The compressors are diffrent one is a T3 and the other a T4, hence the name

T3(turbine side)/T4(compressor side). Oh and i love my T3/T4 50 trim.http://www.msprotege.com:8080/smilies/smile.gif

I think the T3/T4 is a bit much for what I'm going for, but I agree that it is probably one of the better setups to go with for the price and power output. Personally, I think I'm going to go with a 16G, but who knows where my modding road will lead me in the next few years.

Nah, a t3/to4B will do the job fine, no turbo lag at all. A 16G will do better down low.

why would a t3/t4 with the same specs as a t3 be better?

I have a T3/T4 stage 3 .48 A/R exhaust with a super 57 compressor and when it IS in boost, it feels kick ass. It's just the time it takes to get there sucks. I get full boost around 3500-3800 RPM and it kicks in like a 2 stroke powerband. After being in early spooling car, I like the instant spool a bit better. But I'll stay with what I got, I like to feel the sudden surge when it kicks in.

I used to have a T3 with a .48 compressor and turbine, the instant boost was great but there just wasnt anything after 4500rpm. I've got a t3/t4 57trim (.50 compressor and .63 turbine) now and I love it. It starts boosting at 3000rpm and pulls hard all the way to redline. I have a light weight crank pulley that really helps eliminate the lag associated with a bigger turbo. It would benefit from an aftermarket flywheel would too. Whats kinda psi is everyone running with their t3/t4's?
