Unique upgraded concept<O:p</O:p

Alongside the Mazda 3, Eibach present a further exclusive project car – the Eibach Mazda RX-8. The basic model was a revolution in itself. With the RX-8, Mazda managed to create a unique combination world-wide: a four-door sports car powered by a rotary piston engine and providing space for four people. The shape of the RX-8 is trend setting for Mazdaīs future sports car development: aggressive but suitable for everyday use. With a full package of modifications, Eibach further upgrades this unique project car.<O:p</O:p

The RX-8īs Wankel engine with two rotary pistons and two chambers of 654 cubic centimetres each, performs 231 hp generating maximum torque of 211Nm through 5500 RPM. This allows the sports car to reach a maximum speed of 235 km/h. A sports exhaust system from Sebring was installed to maximize the sporty nature. The rear muffler with one tailpipe each side is eye-catching with its excellent finish and its distinctive, powerful and sporty sound.<O:p</O:p

The cleverly devised inner part of the muffler, as well as the muffler wrapping and the pipe system are made of high-quality stainless steel. The design of the two chrome-plated and laser-cut tailpipes with a bore of 101 mm each, make the rear of the Eibach Mazda RX-8 look even more robust and is brought into perfect harmony with the rear outline of the car. Apart from the sporty sound and the exciting design, special attention was given to technical functionality and thus optimizing performance. <O:p</O:p

The Eibach Pro-Kit Performance Springs increase the carīs driving dynamics and provide an even sportier look. The sports car is lowered by 30 mm compared to the standard car. The stiffer, progressive wound springs with shortened travel enable the car to react more precisely to steering inputs. Eibachīs knowledge and expertise derived from decades of involvement within Motorsports which, in return, has been incorporated directly into the development of this Pro-Kit, allowing an optimal tuning between the Pro-Kit and the suspension characteristics of the RX-8. <O:p</O:p

An Eibach Anti-Roll-Kit was also fitted. Stabilizer bars of 27 mm in the front and 18 mm in the rear ensure load differences between the inner and outer wheel which prevent excess body roll and improve the turn-in ability of this new Eibach project car. <O:p</O:p

The wheels and tires of the RX-8 are as exclusive. The 8x18-inch LS SLC-Chrome rims from Borbet were especially made for the Eibach Mazda RX-8. As with the Eibach Mazda 3, the 225/45 ZR18 Proxes T1R tires are from Toyo. The new generation combines excellent handling with outstanding wet-road characteristics and a low noise level. The new Silica tread compound offers improved dry handling with increased mileage and an improved wet-road performance. The open V-tread pattern guarantees an excellent water drain. A new carcass construction with modified belting materials combines excellent traction with fantastic handling and high steering accuracy. The closed tire shoulder guarantees high cornering stability and counteracts uneven wear.<O:p</O:p

Haha yes I was just going to mention that. They must have watched the Mustang GT-R video before writing that article.

Chrome stripes?! Gah!

All I see is a stock RX-8 with some ugly wheels, stupid chrome stripes, and a little rear deck lip. So what's the big deal? The chrome stripes...

What is that? Tin foil?

I guess it could have been worse...they could have used metalic tint to continue the look over the rear window.
