there are actually minor differences between the 99s and the rest of the third gens but for the most part, yes it should fit

they should fit your 99 protege. i haven't sat in too many, but i recall the same center console.

Thanks guys. My car doesn't have the arm rest/storage thing, and it kinda is awkward (I like to rest my elbow on those things). It looks pretty simular to mine from what I can see in the picture on ebay. Hopefully the guy will ship to me.
