I've been talking to a dealership over the last few days and it looks like I'm gonna be able to take one out for a test-spin this weekend, if all goes to plan. We'll see how that goes, and I'll keep you updated.

i test drove one over the weekend..and i admit..i like it it. pulls very nicely all throughout rpm range..spools up very quickly, especially in 2nd. the salesperson was nice enough to let me take it all the way to 6th gear and all i can say is damn..mazda definitely did it right this time. and he also told me that after the break in period, the turbo/engine automatically opens up to higher boost and engine output..pretty impressive, nice interior, seats are kinda firm but definitely more bucket-like as opposed to the msp. so basically if i had a choice b/w the ms6 and lets say an audi s4, id pick the ms6...but id still get an sti over the ms6 ;) my 2cents

I got to test drive the beast this past monday. I was impressed as well. It pulled really well and handled like no other. It was wet out, so I got to put the AWD really to the test. My only complaints for the car were the clutch feel: The engagement zone was really freakin small and I couldn't launch the car during normal street conditions without it jerking, and I'm a pretty smooth driver. The other complaint I had was the low seating position, in the tight dealer parking lot, I didn't feel that I could see the front corners of the car that well, and I'm 5' 11", not exactly short.

Other than that, though, I'd say that it is a good deal quicker than my mom's 2002 Audi S4 and my dad's W8 Passat. I loved the interior and driving position (albiet low) and thought they turbo mapping for the power curve was spot on. Unlike the Evo VIII that I had the opportunity to test this summer, it had no turbo lag, but very similar strength in power.

If you've got the money, I'd say buy the sucker because you're gonna get more respect in this from the professional crowd rolling up in this thing than an STi or an Evo, and you'll whoop up on the kids who don't know what Mazdaspeed really means...

I've had mine for 3 months and I still occasionally stall it. Damn electronic clutch is very, very touchy. Still nervous about hills even though I have only driven manual transmissions for the past 18 years.

Also, I'm 6'2" and even I have difficulty seeing the front end...LOL! But these are just some of the things that make the MS6 what it is...LOL!

These minor foibles aside, I still love it. (thumb)

Awesome reviews guys...It's very interesting to see 1st hand comparisons between the MS6 and other cars with similar power or performance...Overall there is no doubt it has a ton of potential...I'm sure the aftermarket will come around...We'll be here to welcome them!

I got mine on the morning of new years eve and i have to agree with Rainman that the clutch is very touchy and definitely takes some time to get used to, but i absolutely love my car. The advanced keyless entry is definitely a conversation starter with anyone who asks about the car. I Love it.
You can to go http://blog.myspace.com/jaimem26 to check out my car on my MySpace blog or http://photobucket.com/albums/c90/jaimem26/MAZDASPEED6/ to check out some more pics.

I told you guys I wasn't kidding... I wonder what mazda is gonna do to fix this. I thought it was a great car, but the clutch issue is a real turn-off for me. All the car mags that I've been reviews of it in have been saying the same thing too. Hopefully they'll wise up because this is an amazing car and could be a real contender on the street and in the tuner world! We'll see...

i've had my ms6 for a couple of weeks now and i must say its a phenomenal car....power, space, beauty....what more can you ask for.

i stil have to get used to the clutch though....it is a bit touchy as everyone says, but other than that the car is awesome...
