so i recently switched my HID headlights out for some high/low bulbs and was forced to buy new ballasts. at least i think i was, after thinking about it i bet i could have gotten the old ones to work if i had connected everything at once but thats beside the point. I was left with a pair of ballasts i didn't need. well i decided to buy some H3 bulbs and see if i could make my fogs HID's as well. so after much cutting and drilling to make a hole for #1 the back of the bulb and #2 the large bulb connector. bought some grommets and silicone and sealed everything up tight so no water gets in. im gonna do the foglight rewire mod so that i have full control of them whenever i want. right now they are on with low beams only in the stock setup. i got some photos today after i did installed them but i didn't like the daytime pictures. i'm gonna do the rewire and then take some more pics to show. keep your eyes open for pics. just thought i would let you all know what i did. i think i'm the only protege with hid high/low headlights and hid foglights. *~pics down below~*

hmmm, i wish i had known that..although even still, the bulbs i bought are the same brand and temp as my headlights so everything matches up nice! i'm gonna take some pic as soon as i get home in about an hour

eh, no one really says anything. i think ppl will really hate me when i have brights and fogs. those brights are damn bright at 100 feet. i can't imagine how much brighter it's gonna be with 2 sets of full on 8000k hid bulbs

spoke too soon...i got a warning today for aftermarket hids. said i had to take them out because they didn't come from the factory. i don't think he could prove it and thats why i didn't get a ticket for it. was in another town not really close so hopefully i won't run into him again

seriously how could they know.....cops don't know what kind of headlights came on what cars. You can just tell them it was an option on your car.
They can't prove your car didn't come with them stock.
btw it looks nice....i love my 7000k hid's.

It is incredibly obvious when a car was not originally equipped with HID's. One look at the beam pattern tells it all.

yes your right, but still they can not prove that the car didn't come with them, id say most police officers couldn't tell the difference.
i mean obviously this one thought they were aftermarket but i guess he wasn't sure.
