ya turbo it, the best time u could ever get on a mp3 on a n/a is like 15s... mayb mid i remember someone hitting that. but n/a isnt worth it, just go turbo route its the best route to go if u want fast.

...will be fine as long as you keep the boost around 9psi or under. As soon as you cross the magical 10psi mark, magical pixies will enter your engine and remove the rods in a magical and violent orgy of mechanical death.
Actually, now that I think about it, the Stripper isn't intercooled. Check with MAM on how much boost you can run through it.

I'd keep the stripper to 7 psi or so. no more than 8 unless you add the intercooler upgrade, or do something similar like water injection or something else exotic.

the stripper is still a t28 though right? so at 7psi you'll be faster than the stock mazdaspeeds

Keeping in mind that my internals are all stock still......

I've been running on a stock motor for over 2 years now. It can be done if you do more then an FMU/clamp setup.

You joke, but that exact same thing happened to me...minus the pixies.

clamp = small resistor thingy that tricks ECU into thinking that the AFR is a nice 14.7 and is activated by vacuum pressure.
FMU = per every X amount of boost, adds X amount of fuel.

I don't know exact $ figures, but I am willing to bet he spent more then if he just turbo'd it in the first place.

is the stripper kit that MAM offers, is it a FMU/ clamp set-up,? or is that what the MPI tuner will take care of????
HEY GUYS THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP!!!!!

I don't believe there is any fuel needs with the stripper kit, that will be for you to get, that's why it's cheaper.

Oh, I do feel you need the MPI, but I was saying that I don't think it's included in the price of the stripper kit. You would have to buy that seperatly so that would add another $685, but it is money well spent especially since you have the MP3 ECU. I've been running the MPI on my MP3 for over 2 years at 8psi and well over 200whp on the stock motor/trans with no issues because of the control you get with the MPI.

BIGG TIM >>>> thanks...are u running the stripper..??yea the MPI does come seperate from the kit,,,,,what i would like to do is get the turbo kit , the MPI tuner, the C.C. on the hot side, and the upgraded B.O.V. they offer.......may sometime upgrade to the intercooler ( stripper=non-intercooler )....after all that i wanna do engine internals.....

I don't run an MAM kit, I have an MPI kit running the MPI tuner. I definatly recommend using the MPI. I also would not go too high on boost without an intercooler, just to be safe. I have been running the stock motor and tranny for over 2 years using the MPI. I have run nothing other them 8psi and over 200whp the whole time.
