Cluster bulb illumination question

I have my rings here(finally, I know Im slow) and Im thinking about ordering new gauge faces from importintelligence.com and I want to change the backlighting to blue, I know it can be done because i've seen some of you guys with it. I was just wondering what type of bulbs you used because I heard that some(cheap ones and certain brands) wear out and fade or burn out. Let me know, thanks!

Help me out real fast as I have never ordered gauges. When you install these gauge faces, do you just cover up the old face, or do you remove the old? If they just cover up the old face then you are going to have a hard time to changing your gauge to blue. Your gauge has a red film on the face that will make the blue leds purple. Except for reverse indiglo gauges I havent seen an MSP with blue gauges. Lx and Dx models gauges are green stock allowing the blue to shine through.
