Rear Interior Door Panels

Does anyone know how to remove the armrest on the rear door of an 02 DX? I looked at it last night, and it appears to have some sort of clip mechanism on the innermost side of the handle. It moved some when I pushed and pryed, but no luck. Anyone have this problem before?

I'd think you would have to remove the door panel in order to remove the "armrest" handle. Ill take a look in my car tomorrow

remove the one screw then just pull on the outer cover. it'll be tight, but it will eventually pop off. don't remember whcih side to pull out first, but try the side by the screw. The outer cover should have a seam you'll be able to feel.

Thanks... I'll give it a shot tomorrow before work. Worst case, I break the doors >.>' Oh well, Mazda should be happy to see me then :)
