Just got done putting this in. I'm pretty satisfied with it.

And here's the ps2 in the glove compartment.

The glove compartment will close with the controller wire sticking out but I still wonder if a wireless controller will work with the glove compartment closed. Anyone have an idea?

it might work. what you could do is buy a controller extension and run that someplace so that you wouldn't have to close the wire in the glove box.

A wireless controller will work unless the glove box is plated with some think metal or something ;)

So maybe I should rip the ps2 out and put a shelf in there for shot glasses and a bottle...

i have a ps2 in my mazda3s hatch and it works fine with wireless remotes no matter if the glove box is shut or open.
is it me or is the glove box in the mazda3 ungodly huge, you could put a small child in there, or at least an illigal immigrant

If you buy a wireless controller I would get the Logitech one.

Every other wireless controller I've ever used has been total crap.

i agree with that. logitech makes the best wireless anything. i have a wireless mouse i bought from them used on ebay over 2 years ago and its still ticking strong.
