I just put a used engine into my 1990 Protoge (1.8 SOHC), The engine will run if I squirt some fuel into the throttle body but soon dies. Fuel rail pressure is good ruling out the fuel pump, and the fact that it starts seems to rule out the ignition system. Is it possible that the injectors in this engine have become gummed up from sitting around? How does one go aboiut testing the wiring going to the injectors?

Problem solved, all four injectors were seized up. Even though they all tested good with an ohm meter none actually injected any fuel. Luckily the injectors from my old engine still were ok. Makes sense I guess since only a 90 to 94 engine fits my car and with only 89,000 Km on the used engine it could have been sitting on a shelf for 5 to 10 years. Something to consider when replacing an engine in an old car.
