Ok, so yesterday I noticed a clicking noise coming from what sounds like my front driver's side wheel well area. I checked to see if maybe it was a rock / nail in the tire, but I didn't see anything. It clicks faster the faster I'm going btw, like direct relation, nothing to do w/ what gear / RPM I'm at. It only becomes audible at 20mph or so, but today, at lower speeds (aka 20-25mph) it sounds more like a rubbing noise. And no, no one put baseball cards in my spokes...
Any1 have this problem? Any info appriciated, and rep will be doled out accordingly lol.

I have just seen it a lot, FWD cars go through CV joints. have someone walk beside our car as you do circles in a parking lot, tick tick tick you will hear. Jack the car up and grab the axle, look for play in the axle, look for a torn boot.
You can get a whole axle now easier than replacing just the CV and stuff.

No torn boot. I was under the car this weekend, and actually looked at them. How many miles are they supposed to last? Like I said, you can't hear it until abt 20 MPH, and I don't have any fast friends lol. I'll check it out tho.

check the brake pad hardware... if the metal piece behind the brake pad is broken and loose, that can cause it. mine is doing that, and Seth from SPD and I were looking close at everything, and that seemed to be it.

I failed to see that it happens at 20mph or faster. slow, CV for sure. It might be the brake wear tab grinding the rotor. Might wanna pop off the wheels and take a looksee.

I really think that that's it. I haven't had a chance to check my breaks, but maybe I can have some1 look @ them w/ me @ ZZL this weekend, or if I get some free time this week (not likely in daylight hours)

It's cool. That's y I like this forum. 20,000 members, chances are, some1 has some idea of what to look for. I appreciate every1's imput. The CV Axles seriously looked new. I was under the car this weekend waiting for the oil to finish dripping out of the pan (I was changing it) and I was just checkin everything out, since it's the 1st time I"d really been under the car

CVs last a long time, but do a lot of burnouts and stuff, wears them out. I would just pop a wheel off and checkit all out.

I don't really do anything like that. And I haven't been auto-xing that long. But yeah, I just need to get a couple mins to get that tire off.
