p5 rear bumper [Archive]

so i hear the p5 rear wont fit on our sedans.....why is this? might be a dumb question but just wondering. is it too short or not wide enough? what is it?

the wagon is about 5" shorter than the sedan (all behind the rear wheels)

hrm....i know the hatch is shorter, but figured it would be in the framework.....has anyone tried to fit one on? like do the reinforcement bars not meet up or what?....its probably an inch or so shorter....dont see how that would make a huge difference in fitment

I don't get what you're trying to do... have you even looked at the two bumpers? they aren't even similar... even if you could somehow get it on there, it would look ridiculous

and it really is 5" shorter, not 1"

nah ive never looked at them side by side....was thinking about putting it on, but not if it would look retarted....it just didnt look 5" shorter...oh well. idea out the window! thanks though!

Ya, that would be a ton of work to get a P5 bumper to fit a sedan. Just get a rear lip for your car. Totally finishes off the back end of the regular Protege.

^yup the mp3 rear skirt basically is the same as the little skirt thing on the p5

strange i never noticed how the mp3s taillights are differen't the the regular sedan the turn signal wraps all the way around on the mp3 but not the sedan

i think thats a pic of the jap. one. all us spec tail lights have a reflector on the side (just like the sedan tails) but not in jap. could be wrong though....maybe nate knows!
