Well my alternator/water pump belt broke yesterday while I was on the highway. I didn't hear it but I eventually noticed my battery light and the temp guage going to hot. I drove it for about 10 more minutes just to get to my exit and then to a safe place to stop and check it out. While driving, I popped the hood to allow more in engine bay to help try to keep it cool. The temp stayed around H but never over until I got close to stopping. I tried going one more block but I had to stop at a light where the car eventually stalled. I know, I know, I should have stopped as soon as I noticed the problem but my stupidity overruled and I kept going. Anyhow, I switched out my belts and topped off the coolant. I ended up using about a half gallon. I started the car and it started right up. The car sounds good and feels good. It almost has a stronger pull to it. So hear are my questions, having done what I did. Is there anything I should be worried about? Spark plugs fouled, internal engine issues, seals etc... Anything I should change? Oil... Any info would be appreciated.
extra info, I have a Unorthodox UDP and was using the recommended Gates belts. I replaced them with the Goodyear Gatorback belts that you get from Autozone. They are very quiet which was a problem I had with the Gates belts. They squeeked.
