Need help with speaker sizes

I've been searching this site and others with no answers yet, so here goes:
What size speakers can I actually fit in the 6 Hatch (no Bose)? Crutchfield says 6x8 or 5.25" in all locations, but I've seen mention of 6.5" used. Where are some real guideline I can use?

I believe the opening is for 6x8s. All 5.25"s and most 6.5"s will fit in this opening if you create a baffle to mount them on. Search the forums for "speaker baffle" to find out more information.
