MTMA is going to be sponsoring a 'Monster Meet' sometime in June/July at Johnson Park in Piscataway, NJ. We're going to kick off the 2006 season with the biggest Mazda meet the area has seen.
Starting next month, I will be making phone calls to make this meet the biggest and best we have ever thrown. Anybody who attended the large meet in April 2004: This meet will surely topple that record of 75 cars. This one is going to be open to all Mazdas, so expect well over 100 cars to attend! That April 2004 meet, while overall was very successful, definitely had some kinks in the system. We have since held a couple of other large meets, and now know exactly what needs to be done to ensure both a great turnout and a great meet.
Not only that, I am going to use some of my contacts with MNAO to get Mazda to help us out and sponsor the event. There will be food, drinks, trophies, contests, prizes, and vendors. Not to mention dozens and dozens of Mazda enthusisasts just like you!
This one is definitely not the one to miss. More details and an official thread will be posted as soon as I have more information to give you. I just wanted to get the word out now to get people psyched up. I know that with the winter months ahead of us, it's a tough time for car enthusiasts. Meets are few and far between, and the ones that do happen often aren't that great because of the uncomfortable temperatures. No worries, as this meet will more than make up for the dull and boring cold months!
