sucks dude. I haven't even driven my car in the past 3 days. Used my dad's Titan. As far as engine goes, any 3rd gen engine will fit because they're all the same. P5/MP3/MSP/Sedan all the same. You can contact beau at MAM or nick at MPI for a forged engine so you can boost it. Sorry to hear, hydrolocking sucks

not a good idea. you can be severly scoring your cylinder walls. preventing you from even using that block again.

Any 2.0L fs-de from a 3rd gen protege will work. The only difference with the mp3 is the intake manifold and ecu, otherwise the block and head are the same.

Anyways back on track, check out the mam website. Search ebay. I have seen a few engines there from time to time. Also keep a close eye out in the for sale section. I have seen some guys parting out their cars and selling engines.

why couldnt i just use my mp3 transmission

well it shoudl bolt right up... but the crappy thing about all mp3 tranmission is that we tend to grind at high rpms in 3rd... idk if the msp one did that i think they do.. but i still think that if u get a msp one is better cuz they have lsd unlike ours... but their lsd suck too at least thats wat i hear from msp owners. alot of their lsd broke before or after warrenty was over. theres also a seller tring to sell a built up block in the f/s section check it out.

No doubt - gotta be REALLY careful - and don't drive it, get a rental if you can.

My friend did that exact thing a couple years ago to his civic and his car hasnt been right since. But its a honda and he's an idiot. So you'll have better luck. It sucks though. I'd recommend renting a car.
