Intake Manifold

I just got a 1999 mazda 626 intake manifold. I have searched and researched this topic. what is the difference between the 626 intake and the intake that is already in my car. I have a 2001 Mazda protege ES. Does the 626 manifold have VTCS and VICS. Does everthing bolt up to it, like egr, and all the sensors. if anyone can help let me now. will it throw a check engine light. Will it give me any HP gains. i learned how to Port and Polish when i was at school so if i need to do that to the intake I can. I am just seeing if it was worth getting this intake or just use my stock one. thanks to anyone that can help.

personally i'd sell that and just remove VTCS and port your existing manifold if you know how too .
but if your up for experimenting go for it iirc nobody has really gotten the 626 manifold to work i'm prob mistaken tho
