I have a 2003 spicey orange MSP, but was wondering at what rpm does the rev limiter kick in ? i've rev almost to 7.5 and it seems not stop.

It is supposed to be at 7200 I think. You probably just didn't take it high enough. Also I think the rpm dial slightly exaggerates the rpm. A digital readout would probably give slightly different numbers. Well, I know at least the speed dial does by a couple mph.

The tach isn't accurate that high up in the RPM range. IIRC people with digital readouts say the RPM-based fuel cut kicks in at 6750 RPM. It just looks higher on the gauge...I know I've seen it above the 7K mark as well when I had my MSP.

mine goes to 7200 and then the fuel cut or whatever is kicking in does its thing and it bounces there at 7200

6950 is where it cuts off on digital tachs.
