Well ..If they totalled it it means pretty much paid off and he could buy it back Cheaply and slap a motor in it.

How much did they estimate the value of the damage at? That doesn't sound right to me. Not that I don't believe you, but shit, it's just an engine.

Well apparently the water was up to his door, so it might not be just the engine.

Update...I guess the insurance adjuster misunderstood the problem. The car is not totalled, they just bought a new engine. How long would it take for the dealership to do?

mine is on 2 weeks yesterday and the pdr from hail is what slowed the process down they are done now but i don't getit back until mon... so 2 weeks if all goes well... 1 week, get motor, 2 week put together and in, 3 days pdr (bastards)

i hate how dealers a slow, took me 2 days to swap engines at my dads shop..
