Im getting ready to try install my innovate wideband A/F guage and i am at a lost. There are about 7 wires coming off the LC-1, the instructions tell me where it goes but i really dont know where to tap those into on my protege. I know about power and ground but thats it. Has anyone install this yet? Can i get a little help. THanks

Hook up the heater ground, the system ground, and the power. The rest you don't need unless you are hooking it up to ems. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. I had a hell of time getting mine to work, but now I understand it.

Thanks for the input. What are the differnce between the heater and system ground? Im assuming the system ground goes the any grounding point on the car, but what is heater ground? THanks

Hook both of them to the same place. For me I used my negative terminal on the battery. The heater ground is the grounding point so the o2 sensor can be heated quickly once the car is started to get an accurate measure of a/f's. Basically the sensor has to be hot to work.

Where did you get your power from? If i hook up the two grounds to the neg, battery, where did you hook up your power too? Thanks

i'd say hook it up to any switched (key in the on position) source, maybe tap into the radio line ?

Here is a pinout description for the Zeitronix WBO2 installation. The colors and such of your wires will probably be different, but the connections to the MSP ECU will be the same.

1-Red-Ignition power- To Pin #97 (white wire)
3-Green-RPM input- To Pin #48 (violet/white wire)
7-Black-Chassis Ground- To Pin #103 or any chassis ground (black/red wire)
9-Purple-Simulated Narrowband- To Pin #35 rear O2 sensor input (yellow/blue wire) (make sure to splice into the SIGNAL of the stock O2, not just the wire going into the ECU)
10-Grey-Throttle Position Sensor- To Pin#89 (brown/yellow wire)
12-Blue-User Input 0-5V-I think I will tap into pin #38 which is the ECT (engine coolant temp)

Thanks everyone for the input. I got it up and running last night. My only concern now is that my car runs super lean when i let off the gas and slow down. But as soon as a press the gas its normal again. Not sure why it does that. Does that happen to anyone else?

pretty sure they all do that wehn you let off. No gas is being given.

Thats what i thought. Its just a trip when you see that thing go all the red, and it will read O2 as well.

Exactly, what's why it's better for gas mileage to let off the gas and coast to a stop rather than shift into neutral. Neutral puts you at stoich, letting off the gas puts you lean.
