When I first got my car back in april I could go about 80-90miles on a 1/4 of a tank. now I get about 55-60miles on a 1/4 of a tank. I installed a universal muffler about a month ago, but I'm sure that has nothing to do whit it. Anyone have any ideas to solve this problem? I'm thinkin about sending it to the dealer to be tuned.

When did you last replace the spark plugs and air filter?

I haven't changed them, I've only had the car since April this year, and I've only gone about 4000-4500 miles in it.

118,500 around there. Is there any chance that running the heater is doin this?

yes heater would cause that, just like A/C

I run my heater all the time now, and I haven't noticed much of any change in my gas mileage.

I'd check your plugs and air filter. Or just get a K&N filter and drop that in. Whenever you buy a used car you should always check the normal maintenance items, because you don't know when they were last changed by the previous owner.
For all you know, the car still has its original plugs in there.
