Check out all the yellow 2003.5 Mazdaspeed Protege pics here:
2003.5 Mazdaspeed Gallery (http://www.protegemp3.com/vbb225/galleryuser.php?s=&userid=1865&gallery=2003.5%20Mazdaspeed/&galrows=5&galcols=4)
These are 25% of original size and came directly from the Mazdaspeed NAIAS CD. Obviously, the orange one that was posted earlier was just a bad picture or something.

The more I look at the yellow (and the style of the 2003.5) the more I like it. I think Mazda screwed up making me wait this long. I now have the option of the 2003 orange, the 2003.5 yellow or titanium and whatever they announce for 2004 (hopefully next month and hopefully some info on the 2004 Mazdaspeed 3.)

Awesome! Thanks!
The 2003.5 style has really grown on me too. Those pictures in the gallery really show how dark the new wheels are, especially this one :http://www.protegemp3.com/members/JasonH/2003.5%20Mazdaspeed/static%20curved%20road.jpg
Is there any pics of the titanium coloured one on the CD? I'd be very appreciative if those got posted.

Those pictures are pretty nice, I really like the shift knob and the boot, the yellow stitching adds a touch. And I like how the pedals say Mazdaspeed on them. Little details that I'm sure people wouldnt notice but still nice.

When i first saw the front bumper in the pictures, i didn't like it..
When i first saw the car at Detroit Auto Show, i liked it..
With this pictures that you posted JasonH, i simply love the front end! My God, she looks good!!! (thumb) (guns)
I really think that Mazda has perfected this '03.5 version!
With Aluminum piping on the intercooler and intake...
New front bumper and rear skirt with a spoiler that looks good on that angle. Let's just hope that this 'clunk' situation isn't on this '03.5's too....
Those wheels don't even look gunmetal... But beautiful wheels nonetheless..(2thumbs)
I wonder how the '03.5 would look in Spicy Orange? :D 10X better!

It doesn't have metal intake tubing in the picture on the CD.

I think the show car(s) did because they were reusing parts from previous show cars.

Beautifull, you can even see the pearl in this yellow, which ofcourse is not in our P5's yellow. Nice.

The front has really grown on me as well. I really like the new Mazdaspeed shift knob and pedals. I still don't really like the spoiler. The color looks really nice. Can't wait to see it in person. Thanks for the pics!

I'm hearing rumours from people in Vancouver that some of the 2003.5's have already arrived at port ... but I have no way of verifying this. Check mpsport.net for updates maybe as there are people who check the ports quite often.
The titanium gray is badddassssssss
They still need to upgrade the seats to some nice Recaros or something .. the 'speed must have the worst seats of any "performance" sedan on the market right now...
Oh, and it would be nice if they made the steering wheel telescoping ... because I need to try and fit a spacer in my mp3 to give a better driving position.

Wow, those are some great pics of the titanium. It really looks dark in that top picture, but I think that is the lighting.
If it didn't have the spoiler, it'd be the ultimate sleeper! Very stealthy!
If it had silver stitching in place of the yellow stitching (I'm assuming the grey cars will have the same yellow stitching as the yellow cars, right) I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
The orange cars are gorgeous, but I can't decide if I'd like the attention or not.
LOL, I wish someone would post a picture of the titanium car, where I'd say "Damn, that thing is ugly" and settle on the orange. :p
Now for the million dollar question:
Does anyone know if the 2003.5's are going to be priced the same as the 2003's?

Seeing as how many dealers will probably have 2003s and 2003.5s sitting side-by-side on their lots, I would certainly thihnk so.

Does anyone know yet whats going on with the missing fog lights?
THE 2003.5 are at Vancouver... I've known that they were on a boat almost a month ago, heading towards BC from Japan, but I couldn't say anything. So yes, they must be there by now. At lease the grey ones are. Yellow I don't know. Grey ones aren't being touched until orange ones are all done and gone.
Dealers can't order grey ones yet. Mazda is not letting them until orange ones are all shipped.
this picture here really shows what the guys were talking about. That the front bumper is really just a normal P5 bumper with a bolt on lip....interesting. I wonder how small it makes the fog light holes.

So this means Canadian dealers are for sure getting Titanium MSP's? Hmm...
it's a done deal, canada is getting half and half this time. We're not getting shafted this time :)
I tell ya though, for someone that had his mind made up on the orange, I'm screwed now....back to square one.

I tell ya though, for someone that had his mind made up on the orange, I'm screwed now....back to square one. LOL. I'm with ya. I had decided against the black because as bad-ass as it is, I knew it would be a bitch to keep clean. However, the titanium is definitely bad-ass as well, and a real sleeper (maybe even more than the black) and shouldn't show dirt as readily. Plus, I think the people who thought I was insane for even considering buying an orange car would start talking to me again :D.

I hear ya brotha! Someone asks me why I'm selling the MP3, and what I'm trading it in for, their like......are you nuts...an orange car!
I almost wonder if I am nuts really. If that damn thing had fogs in it, or even if I knew they would fit, it would make my decision a lot easier.
Thanks for posting this pics...... I think :)

Hey ....
JasonH, i guess the pre-production model comes with aluminum/steel piping, but the actual production model doesn't come with it. Digi168, even posted a picture of the grey MSP at Detroit Auto Show which he proved to us with the new piping. Just like when some of us thought that we were suppose to get 3 head rest in the rear, turns out it was just a hump on the upper seat.....
Anyway, what are the production #'s suppose to be? How many Grey's and Yellow's?
Anyone know what the new from new with the ducting suppose to cool?
Now that there isn't a foglight, i wonder what they replaced the switch with? another stub? There's already enough blank spaces there....:(
Anyone know what the new from new with the ducting suppose to cool?
huh?

Oh, LOL
I think they just did it for looks, and left out the fogs because of Price, or maybe the stock ones don't fit no more with the extra piece on the bumper
Production numbers are 2500 Total I think. 750 for Canada( half yellow half gray)

Do you know if the new front lip is an add-on peice?
Or just a new complete bumper?...
If it's a lip, i wonder if it would fit our current Mp3/MSP with the foglight's removed?
The new ducting/vent on the bumper will definitely help if you have a CAI set-up with the filter right behind it!!! :D

Looking at that pic Newf attached, a thought occured to me. What do you think the possibility is of dirt and debris collecting along the lip? Worse yet, working its way behind the lip and scouring the paint underneath? See the file I attached for clarification (the smiley face is a bonus).
What I wouldn't give to see an orange MSP and a grey MSP side by side. My right arm I would! Ok, maybe I wouldn't go that far.
I thought I was the only one that was getting bad reactions when I tell people I am strongly considering getting an orange car. "What? Orange?" Almost makes me want to get it out of spite, but as we all know from Seinfeld, that's not a good idea.

Grimace, I'm sure a good, pressurized wash would take care of any accumulated dirt along the lip.
I've been getting some interesting reactions to the orange, as well. A lot of guys aren't too keen on the idea, but most of the girls have been pretty excited about it.
Now the question is: is Spicy Orange a chick-magnet, or just a chick-colour?
Hmmm...

Grimace..
i didn't think anyone would bring this up..but it is so true!
With my MSP, there's a lot of dirt accumulating on the rear skirt area, where it meets the bumper. If you don't wash it often in those area, some dirt is hard to get out. Even with a regular hose spray doesn't do the job, you'll need pressurized spray to get it out or get down there and use your hands with a mitt of course.
Anyway, with Toronto weather we can't do much nowadays, just drive it through the automatic car wash and see how good for it job it can get in those areas....
i like the happy face.

That same possiblity exists on your current vehicles right around the front grill. Especially if you have an autoexe grill.
same problem with wax as well, just kinda gotta live with it. Good point though.

nah man, you should already be there torchin up a storm for the Laser blue DX/LX/ES/P5 fiasco.
I would have been less angry if they had come out with a blue MSP rather then every P5/LX/ES etc.
Matter of fact, I kind of wish they did make a blue MSP because me color choice would have been SOOO Much easier.

Hey Limited,
I hope you're at least going to the "touchless" automatic washes and not the old gouge and scrape car washes!
I managed to wash mine in the driveway last Sunday when it was like 5 degrees.
I have found a spot downtown Toronto where i can wash and wax. I went there right after i got the car and put a coat of glaxe/sealant and then Carnuba wax on it. I didn't want to deal with the swirls in the paint, not to mention to protect from the salt.
I don't think you can go wrong with any of the colour choices. I will never own a black car, but then again, if you had told me that i would be driving an Orange car...i would have called you crazy. I think there's too much yellow out there already. The Titanium is phenomenal IMO, but i don't like the wing or the lack of fog lights.
I have been getting a lot of looks. Not to ention people who don't know cars saying "orange?". Then get into the limited edition, no colour options etc. and they're like, "cool car".
I couldn' care less what other people think. I like it. It's obnoxious and unique. Kinda like the owner !
To each their own i guess.
Just my 2 cents worth.

Amen! Testify!
I agree, all 3 colors are nice.
One thing about the orange. having an MP3, I felt I was buying the same car again. At least with the 2003.5's, there are some more differences. Once I put the fogs back in......she's gonna be purdy..
Still rather blue though

Are foglights going to fit in the holes? It looks really small. Looks like Mazda wanted the autoexe lip look, but ruined the already perfect foglight integration.

what are the numbers for yellow and grey in the US?
has anyone heard a possible date yet?
2500 total. 750 in canada, 325 yella, 325 Grey. I'm guessing the Us is half and half as well.
Seems like I've said this before :)
Yes, I am still sticking with the Grey car. The more I look at it, the more I like it. If anything, I'd switch to yellow before going back to Orange. The more I see the orange, the more I know I made the right choice. Otherwise, I'll keep little blue! Still a fine ass car.
If the fogs don't fit
Choice one. Remove front lip....it's only a bolt on anyhow right? Then you have same bumper
Choice 2: Get small fogs
I think I've said that before as well :)

That would be 650 (325+325). I think you meant 375+375, which equals 750. :p
DOH, was at work, and in a hurry...can't stop and think..must go now
:)
If you had to buy smaller fogs, I don't think you wold have to go much smaller. Killer is finding them.
We need to find somone that works on the docks. hmmm, that sounded bad. Anyhow, and give them a fog light from a P5 and tell him to see if they fit :)

Oh it hurts to see how good that looks.
I would buy the Orange one if I had a choice.
I think the 2003.5's lines were made similar to the 6, and I really like the added aggressive look that foglights give.
The design is just supperb, but if I was going to get a Speed I'd get the 2003 design in Orange:cool:

orange rocks chick magnet for sure...score me quite a few babes already...but really its not the car...i dunno about yall but all the colors are cool... id like me a collection of all the colors...
i had a 626 painted the mp3 yellow and everyone liked the color... bright colors are only for people who like showy and attention grabbing things... it dont fit everyones personality... if ya loud and want attention rock on... if not move on... simple as that... the mazdaspeed was made to be attention grabbing... notice the wheels body kit and wing? hmmmm made for import crowd...dont like it buy something else... anyway my 2 cents

i have to disagree,at least in a few cases, mine for example, i have the 2003.5 msp....small turbo..few other small mods boosting 12psi ..and i don't think a spec v, tiburon (gt) could even stay within 2-3 car lengths..now if you mean stock vs stock thats one thing but modded your talking 14psi with 262hp thats alot of power comming from a car that originaly started off with less than 200hp. even stock for stock, spec v would be a drivers race but neither handle better than the msp. and now we get to the mazda 6, @ 10psi from the msp the 6 doesn't stand a chance (mp3yellow (owned)
