sorry for the newbie question, but this guy is cocky as shit. what does an 8.8 translate into the 1/4 mile. he swears he can beat any car on on the street and its kind of getting annoying. i have a FMIC, midpipe, aem CAI, boost controller, and afc. damnt i want to shut him up. im thinkin a downpipe and cat-back with a turn up of the boost will do the trick. can anybody confirm this?

when I say a 13.7, I mean, exactly. That is also in perfect conditions. What is this? An SRT4?

sorry, forgot to tell you all its a wrx. the only thing he would tell me is that he had an IHI turbo and everything i could imagine. sounds like bs to me.

It's not that hard to get a WRX into the mid-13's. I have noticed, however, that the people that talk the most shit tend to be full of it.

if he is running those times, then you might have a problem even if you up the boost to 10 and get a catback.

Do it and try him. Is he your friend or just someone you know?

who doesn't? and here's a tip, he's in a WRX, RACE HIM FROM A RRROOOLLYYYYYY!!!!!! i beat one today with at LEAST an exhaust on it, and my car is crashed to shit.

he was telling me his car should run mid 12's in the 1/4 mile. it didnt sound right to me at all either when i first heard it. well i went on some wrx forums and saw some time slips of people running 13.0 with 8.3 or 8.4 1/8th mile times. so yeah im guessing about mid 13's. he's a friend of mine, we play hockey together at college. once i get my downpipe and catback im gonna turn it up to 10 psi throw on some good tires and give him a run. it wont be for a while but ill post when i do race him. thanks guys, later.

i pulled 9.77 in a 1/8 mile with all mods below except MBC. Gettig dyno'd sat and going to max out the MBC for my car then go to the track and see what's up then!!!! hopefully my clutch doesn't go. I was pulling like 6psi stock then now i am spike at 11 and settle at 8. feels alotttttt faster!

I will let you know if he "can't be beat" . And yes get him on a role and you could have a chance!
