what is everyone doing w/ front grill...?

i'm putting on my fmic today and really don't want the stock grill on but with it off, theres the 3 pieces that go up and down and then theres the clip holding pieces on each corner. that looks kinda retarded if you ask me, so, what is everyone doing to get around these things??? i don't really want to cut them off just in case i do end up wanting to put the stock grill back on

I cut mine off, but kept the four holes around the outside. I can snap the original grill back in still.

I just cut the shit out,and painted my intercooler with radiator paint from eastwood.

It looks horrible with the three vertical strips. I'd cut those off just like casopolis did. I'd also tape off well and paint the four little tabs w/ some flat black paint. It will keep the lines of the opening nice and clean. I just installed my fmic and this is what I plan on doing. Wish I had a pic, but not yet.
