well i got sick of my shift knob so i got me a new one. i got the kartboy shift knob and now the freakin boot sits down to far and looks kinda stupid. i do have a short shifter to so i doesn't have any notches like the regular one did to hold the boot up. anyone got any good ideas on how to make it look clean and normal again...................?

take the plastic ring off the stock shift boot and put in on the new one. that's what i did. i used hot glue and cut notches in the boot just like the stock one.

the boot is the original, it just sags down now cuz the new shift knob isn't as long as the stock one so theres a good 1-2 inch gab of shifter that looks gay

Use rubber bands -- Take the rubber bands and wrap a bunch of them around the shifter shaft where you want the top of the boot to stop (i.e. where you want it to meet the shift knob), then slide the boot over the top of the balled-up rubber bands and it should be enough to "hold" the shift boot up and look normal because I've tried it myself.

EDIT - but yeah, like mentioned, just buy a short shifter boot from Shaundarbie or Delivery_guy. I've purchased boots from both of them and they're both very good.
