does anyone know where i can score a new limited slip diff not a factory replacement, but something better?

You can get a quaife! It comes with a lifetime warranty. I think the only place you can get it is on corksport though.

no no no....just buy the stock "revised" LSD then have it welded, that should hold very well, i did this when my lsd went out about four months ago....

the revised is not as aggressive is the original.
