well only reason i was asking is because ive heard that the 8 and up kits you can actually lose visibility but you gain alot of color, purple-bluish.

That statement is very true...but if you stick to 8k it will still be brighter than stock....i have 7ks on top and 6k's on bottom.....it is like driving around with my brights on.....you will notice when flashing the high beams that the stock white does produce more light though. You can also aim your head lights so that is a plus....look through the msp appearance thread....i posted a few pics this last week.......

mojoe, did you mount your ballasts and igniters in the engine compartment? or did you get creative and take off the bumper to mount them?

my ballasts reside in the engine compartment temporarily. I have a set of diamond black headlights on order and should recieve them any minute now. I do plan to do a professional install to this whole HID kit once I receive these housings. I will take pics of the install once it is finished. As of now the ballasts are just bolted down, and the wiring is in front of the radiator....but not touching it. lol
The only problem i know i will run into is that i have 4 freaking ballasts and ignitors. It will be difficult to place 2 on each side with the wiring that is available. I plan on wrapping all of the excess wire with electrical tape then wrapping that in......(brain fart).....it is like a plastice shroud for the wires....i forget the name....

i am planning on getting the Helios kit too. but i am planning on mounting the stuff underneath the headlights. my friend did this back home and it worked out well. you may want to consider this as you have 2 kits to find space for.
yeah, i know what you're talking about. you can get that plastic wire shrouds to cover them up.that will be a better idea that taping everything. of course, you could wrap them up and then tape the wire shrouds so they don't fall out.
