anyone got a sound clip of greddy type rs...

i'm getting fmic kit with the greddy rs bov and just curious if someone had this already that has a sound clip i could listen to.

Its not bad but not one of my favorites either!

I got the rs with my Perrin Fmic, but i dont have any clips now. I take some tommorow and post them. So thurseday between 5-6pm ill try to post some vid clips. It sounds like a normal bov, and its not hight pitched like the type s can be.

my buddy has the rs on his eclipse and damn it's loud. i like the way his sounds, it's almost like it's got 2 sounds...it gives off like a squeel and very short pause and then it goes pssssshhhhhhhhh for a long ass time and loud as hell. i'm not going for loudness, but if it sounds good being loud i'll take it. he's pushing around 18 psi and i'm only around 11ish so i think there will be a pretty good difference in sound. everything will be here tomorrow so the install will start first thing after work. i can't find a clip of what it sounds like on a msp but every other car ever made

I'm using the RS now and I miss my type-S. It sounds good and all and holds rpm's and boost much better but the greddy Type-S was sick reving in neutral or just shifting normally. The RS actually requires boost to even make any sound besides the turkey. Oh and reving in neutral you can barely hear the RS.

Any others? I'm curious about it also. It should sound pretty similar to the Type S however... Everything is mechanically the same except for those extra 'holes' in the horn piece.

i think its suppose to sound like that.... I did a search on google, and all i found were reviews on it,

"I recently replaced my Type S BOV with the new Type RS unit and it's great. It has that nice whoooosh (HKS, Blitz) sound versus. the Type S' "Mouse Fart" sound."

well i got my fmic kit installed and the type rs all tuned up so it doesn't stall. now i've heard a few clips and wow does mine sound way different. but i'm happy it sounds different cuz it sounds sweet. it still sounds like a turkey, but on steroids and getting slapped at the same time. then it chitters for about 3 seconds. i create about 4 pounds of boost revving up at idle now. (which is kinda useless on a front wheel drive car) i will try to get a sound clip up, but don't hate me if i don't

mine sounds way different and a lot louder!!! i adjusted mine again cuz if i get on the gas and then push the clutch in and keep it in, the car will either bog down real low or just die. so i tightened her up a little more. it still wobbles with a lot more air and a deeper sound and the stops for a second and starts chattering real fast and loud for about 5 seconds. thats the best part about it! (thumb) and actually now i create about 6 lbs of boost revving it up. not like i do it, but i've checked to see. i can't imagine thats a good thing for the car.

Why would you want to get rid of this?

At 10psi, the RS will be a faint blow off, not loud at all.

The Type S and the SSQV make a whistling blow off and sound more prominent under lower boost applications.

The amount of boost/vacuum in a system/BOV will change the sound emitted by a BOV. So an Type RS on an EVO will be louder compared to an RS on a MSP at 6-10 psi.

diddo. When I was at stock boost, it would only blow off under heavy throttle, but after a MBC set to peak @ 10 and settle @8psi it gives a faint woosh at low throttle and mad whoosh at full boost.
