I have goldline springs and new rims and tires on. I rolled my fenders and although the rub got better, it still rubs when there are people in the back. I think what is rubbing is the edge of the plastic bumper. Any suggestions b/c when I rub it scrapes the tires rubber off. is that normal for rubbing??

nope their 215 tires on 17 inch rims. Ill get back to you on the offset. And before the fenders were rolled, the rubbing was so loud it sounded like a grinding crunching whirring sound. I jus dont think that this soundsl ike normal rubbing issues.

Arite, they are 17 by 7 with a 40 offset and the tires are 215 45 , stock size basically.

that offset is way low

but now that they were rolled as best as possible, i only get a normal sounding rub when people are in the back. it still chips at my rubber tho. I havent had people in the back for a long time.

its the back tires rubbing the outside fenders... I had a similar setup...

stock size is +50 (or 55, one or the other) so its your offset causing the problem

cut em off, roll the shit out of em, run shitloads of neg camber, get the rims machined to a higher offset, or get new rims.

According to http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showpost.php?p=85352&postcount=1

you should have at least have gotton a +43 offset. Might want to sell those 215 size tires and get 205 instead. Or add some more negative camber like others have suggested.

get camber bolts and give rears negative camber...
offset should be 45+

How bout I just put in the rear stock springs will that fix it. I figure since rolling the fenders helped the rub like 70 percent, will putting the stockers back on get rid of the rub.

Yeah it'll get rid of it except now your car will have its ass in the air.

I rub with stock suspension and 42 offset on stock tires.

lol wow....i thought i had a low offset (42)...yea, i barely get away with my rim/tire setup. my fender lip was grinded off, i havent had three people sit in the back though, 5 people in my car is a little to crammed for me, unless they are fine hot women...... :) lol

1) Get some camber bolts
2) Get them installed
3) Drive to alignment shop, say "Damnit, I need negative camber now, now!"
4) Wait an hour, get car back, squat down at back of car and look down side of car admiring how much negative camber you have now.
5) Rotate tires regulary.

Please don't put your stock rear springs back on. Ass in the air = BAD TIMES, unless your with a ---> (boobs), then its (2thumbs)

Well, I put my stock back springs on to see what would happen and how bad it would look. Bad news is it stil kinda of rubs with people in the back. Good news is that the car looks just as low now as it did before i swapped the springs. Reallie, it looks exactly the same. I guess the springs never really lowered it in the back. cuz I always had a raked look when all four were in.
