I just got my 2003.5 MSP and it just started revving up to about 1500-2000 rpms at startup. It might not be that big of a deal, but I'd rather it stay around 750-900 where it should be. Can anyone help me out?

Be easy on me, im new ;)

Wtf happened, I tried to reply to this thread earlier and it mysteriously disappeared before I could post. I thought we coudln't delete threads anymore.

Anyways, you engine runs at an optimum temp of something around 200 degrees fahrenheit. Below that, it doesn't run as efficiently and has worse emissions. The car idles fast when you first start it up, so that you get up to temperature faster. Once your coolant gauge is around center, you should e idling 750rpm again.

Unless your AC is on, or your fans are running.
