I have an Emanage wiring diagram here:
http://www.msprotege.com/members/CasopoliS/PDF/Emanage_protege.pdf
I need some help here, as I am looking into installing an Emanage.
I get confused because that 1k resistor diagram is confusing. Do I put a 1k resistor on pin 76 and 88? What is that little box they are showing in the resistor diagram?
Also, I do not see the O2 modifier anywhere in that diagram. Does this go before or after the Emanage? Is there more than 1 O2 modifier that will work? Links?
Do you think it is better to use a 3bar MAP than the stock MAF signal? Would a pressure sensor eliminate the need for a MAF input? Do I need to get a Greddy Pressure sensor?
I am guessing the two other connectors in the diagram are the Greddy harnesses. On the ignition harness - the output goes right to the coils in the engine bay? Can these coil wires be found at the ECU?
Has anyone verified these dip-switch settings to work fine?
Thank you so much, any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am only considering this because more tuners around the area would be familiar with the eManage. And I think there is an adaptor to make the eManage ultimate work with the eManage connections.... i.e. someone with the eManage could upgrade to the ultimate.

1. Ultimate will not work on the MSP. I tried and wasted 700 bucks in the process. Until Greddy can update their software for a MSP specific engine code and presets, it WILL NOT work.
2. IF youre doing blue emanage, yes go with the MAP sensor. It will give you more accurate response, hold more boost, and allow you to open vent your BOV without recirculating. The MAF sensor on my car gave the emanage all sorts of problems.
3. We found that it was much easier to tune with the Greddy Pressure Sensor, but its up to you. It seemed to hold a much more constant tune.
4. As for the 02 modifier. I couldnt tell you whether or not you have to use it. I suspect you do. What we found was that at WOT, the stock ecu was still reading 02 voltages and readjusting the a/f to counter out our corrections through the emanage. So my guess is that you WILL need an 02 modifier if you want any chance of tuning that car and having the tune last and not get overridden by the stock ECU.
peace bro.

Thank you. I did not see O2 wire anywhere as an input to the Emanage, so I would just install a modifier in-line with the O2 wire? Or is this modifier to be put on a wire going into the Emanage?
Would my MAF come out of the car completely, or it's signal just ignored? Would using the pressure sensor eliminate fuel cut because the MAF used to control this?
Again... thanks! I am also looking into the Unichip, if the local German Motorsports place can tune this for me.

1. Installed in line, but doesnt run into the emanage itself.
2. MAF is replaced by MAP. MAF sits on desk and collect dust, while MAP is in the car.
3. Fuel cut is actually caused by your MAF sensing too much air and not being able to clamp your air voltage. IF the emanage is wired up correctly it should override the air sensor. But the pressure sensor is not relevant to eleimating fuel cut.

but other than that, that is all i have because i can't get my e-manage to take a map or upgrade the firmware.
