Does anyone know if the 36 month/50,000 mile warranty covers damaged motor mounts?
I just got my 03' MSP and the motor mounts were shot to begin with. when I shift or slow down or even speed up the shifter shakes like the tranny is bumpin around. Granted its not an expensive fix, I'd rather not have to pay for the parts ;)
Also, I heard there is problem with the stock MSP mounts, should I just get them replaced? or what do you guys reccomend?

I don't know if they will cover it but it's worth a try because the labour for the rear mount alone will cost 3 hours at a dealer.
If they do not cover them, I would suggest getting the rear one replaced OEM and the front AWR unless you have decided to get both AWR.

Roger That. The Rear one is normally very hard to get at but easy to install. If the car is a 2003 like you said, it's possible that he bolts that hold the stock one on are "Attached" to the frame. It's almost easier to remove the intake manifold and do the rear one from the top, but then you have to make sure you don't fuck the fuel lines and re seal the mani to the head properly.

1) I pop the hood and can push my motor around with my hands
2) stop and go makes shifter rock back and forth
;)
If thats happening to you, try not to let it for too long.
what kind of damage can it cause?
it can cause your studs on your s-pipe to come loose like mine, and it'll probably break your j-pipe-to-engine bracket mount. i need to buy a AWR front mount

Are MSP's known for bad motor mounts?
MSPs are known to have very soft mounts that allow the engine to torque a lot

I had just the front one in for a while and it was ok until my rear broke. Then I got the awr rear mount installed and now the car feels solid. I couldnt be happier!
