My car keeps kicking me out of 3rd gear, is that possible that my 3rd gear is gone ?

Man...You're like the 4th person that I hear that from! Complain to Mazda to see if they look into that. So to answer your question....Yes it is possible. The Service mngr at my dealer told me he's gotten a few with the same problem.

hows your tranny hoding up witht the High boost kit ?

Haha.

That happened to me in my pos Mirage. I was on a major intersate (35) and I got kicked out of 5th then I went to fourth, kicked me out again, then I decided to pull over on the shoulder and start crying and kicking the car.

When I took it in and they showed me what it looked like, it was a effin' mess.
2500$ spent on a car that isn't even worth that much. >:|

I ended up driving to a friends house 45 minutes away in 3rd going 65 or so.

..then that went out. Luckily enough we were close enough to make it the rest of the way to his place.

My tranny is holding up thus far, but I haven't unleashed it completely yet so... We'll c then.

they say there going to have to tear the tranny down possible to fix it, they say it could be up to three weeks to fix

whoa

i have noticed some strange shit goin on with the feel of my third gear, think i may take it in for some preventative measures, especially before i put in the sts, fw, and clutch.... then they will prob say it was my fault...

yeah you may want to do that. My third gear has allways felt strange, and not as solid as the other gears.

so they are going to overhall the tranny, they say it should be done Thursday, but for now they gave me a Montego to tote around in

good luck with that, if they don't feel anything wrong then they aren't goin to do it, warranty stuff is pretty much run it to failure.... then they fix it, always hopin that the warranty will expire before the part does b/c they make more $$ off of non warranty stuff then they do with the warranty...

it did take the delar 3hours to get the ball rolling on this, becuse they had to get authorization from every one and there mother, so this something, there going to do if they absoulty have to but i go have them check out and see what they say

I got my car back today They replaced: Fork Shift; 3 and 4th gear; 3-4 sinkcro, The car drives great and pulls a little better now. I did not have to pay a thing except gas for the loner car

my moms tranny is currenty being redone by mazda under warranty..they called her about it...check it out. hers is an o5

What were your symptoms for your 3rd gear problems? Mine has been loose to the point that you can move the shifter toward neutral without the clutch while the car is in motion (I can't do this with any other gears). I declined the tear-down offer from the dealer for now as I am afraid breaking down the tranny will make it more likely to fail in the future once the "seal" is broken.

it would randomly come out of 3rd gear, and when you sifted into third it would make a clicking noise.
