Im looking for a FMIC that requires little to no modification of existing components. (i.e. trimming of the bumper or sheet metal, ect.) i dont mind taking the bumper off or any of that stuff i just dont want too much hassle with relocations and trimming and stuff. Ive also been reading that if you have a fmic that the ecu hits fuel cut on cold mornings. Since this is a daily driver and I WILL be driving it in the winter, my question is. can i just let it warm up a little before i go anywhere and not have a problem? I am also looking for something that will work with an Injen CIA, and the stock bpv. ( my friends think the turkey nosie is hilarious and cool at the same time.) (10)
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Jim

You guys didnt read. He wants to reuse his Injen. (and i think with the MAM you have to trim your bumper a bit.

Just look for a FMIC FS on the forum. Plenty go up for sale, I just sold my HiBoost and I think someone is selling theirs now.... but it might be sold. MissSteeleMSP I think.

The MAM fits w/o trimming, but you can upgrade to a larger core that needs cutting.

the hiboost kit comes with a hks recic bov/bpv that makes a "turkeyish" sound... still a flutter but deeper :) and requires u to cut out 4 tiny flaps (not visible from the outside) from it... no big! and it is more modistly priced! but of course, you get what you payed for! higher up most of the time meens nicer! my HiBoost is awsome for me! i'm not heavily modded tho!

So far the MAM kit is the most complete fmic, if you dont want to spend that much HI-BOOST is a great alternative, and if you wanted you could always go with an upgraded side mount like TURBOHOSES.

Begi's great, but it doesn't technically work with the stock bpv.

Seriously if u go with the HiBoost you will still get a turkey! lol i can get a audio clip if i figure out an efficicient way of taping! :) just to see if any1 likes it! i don't know how many ppl HAVE the base HKS recic valve that comes with the hiboost

I vote Mental Addiction as well, I have installed the ION, Perrin and the mental addiction is the easiest to install by far I love mine. Also if want to upgrade your rad later you dont have many choices, only the Mental Addiction and ION I believe.

Man I just went through all this I have had my mam for about a month now ... here are my findings
1. They take at least 1 month to send the whole kit , my kit took 2 months and counting . Beau is a cool guy but not a good owner, he wont answer calls or write emails back. If you order the MAM kit make sure you get a tracing number the day you order becasue it will take a week to 2 weeks before you see it!
2. If I had it to do all over I would have got the perrin its premade and ships in a week
3. I have also had a few issues with fitment of the pipes and core. (it works I got it but it was a long install ) and as far as power goes you will feel it but I would get exhaust and front engine mount and rear engine mount before intercooler,
4. The Turkey is a cool sound I love it too... but there are all kinds of things that is wrong with that weak stock BPV so get rid of it...
5. Talk to who ever about BLOW BY MASS AIR before you order pay extra if you have to! then you can vent to Atmisper
PM me if you need more advise I will give you my phone number and you can call me because I dont want anyone to waste there money!

Some clarification of point #5 would be appreciated. Andthe whole turkey thing still confuses me...prob b/c I'm stock and have no turkey. In fact it all confuses me. Check out new corksport coing out as listed on their website with killer preorder special. By far the cheapest I've seen.

Corksport is coming out with a kit for the MSP that sounds like it will be a great deal. It will be available by January, so it's good if you need to save a little first. It will be a great price, too.

Agreed, i have the MAM kit also, it's not gonna feel like a whole new car, but you'll notice a little bit more power and it will eliminate heaksoak.

Man...$1500 and no product. That would piss me off so bad. Seems like a common problem with orders generated from the forum.
Good to know though, there are way too few testimonials for these products. You guys may have save amny folks from the hassle that you are currently in.

I am also planning on buying an FMIC soon. I am probably going to get the Corksport one when/if they finish development. So what is the deal w/ the fuel cut on cold mornings? Anyone have a big problem w/ this? My car is also my everyday driver. As far as cores go, I would be able to get a bigger one down the road sometime w/ the same pipes right? Thanks.
And I would also like to apologize for being one of those people who was not born w/ a welding torch in their hands. (attn)
